Week 4

Tuesday, April 19, 2011

This is actually my 5th week, but had to take a week off due to feeling ill.

I got weighed yesterday at the doctor and I weighed myself this morning and I'm at 115 lbs. From being sick I lost about 6lbs from not being able to eat, so I'm glad I have gained some of that back in a healthy way! So weighing 115 lbs, I am back to where I started before I got sick, which some people would be discouraged, but I'm glad I got that weight back from eating. I went an entire week with only eating 1,000 calories the whole week.

Anyways, I have started walking with the pedometer to help track my steps, which is just another motivator for me since I've been so sick. I still feel really weak and queasy, but I will do what I can to make my goals without hurting myself. It may just be working in the garden for a couple days, but at least I'm not just sitting down doing nothing.

I have been doing a lot of crunches, situps and stretches from my abdomen, and I have to say, I can DEFINATELY see a difference there! I'm on my way!

My original goal was to weigh 107lbs by my son's 1st birthday (May 13th), but, as long as I get to 112 lbs and stay there with a toned body, I wouldn't be disappointed. I know that this sickness has really put me back. It's going to be hard to get to where I was, but I'm determined to do it!

I am encouraging you, and everyone, to increase a little exercise by blowing up a balloon and playing volleyballoon. It's a forgotten therefore new twist to put a little fun in adding more movement to any day. Stay Motivated! You may find yourself laughing like the kids!

You're doing great. You are so close to your goal-and that's wonderful. Lots of moms wait years and years to take off that baby weight. You are making healthy habits early on which will be great for you and your family! emoticon

Week 3

Sunday, March 27, 2011

Weighed in Saturday and didn't lose anything, but I can tell my body is changing! This week is going to be a little difficult for me to workout and I'm nervous that I'm going to fall off track.
I start working again and I'm working everyday but Sunday. I will let you know how it goes.

My plan for this week is to do more on the elliptical than I do on the treadmill and a little bit of Tae bo to keep my calories burned number up.

Hopefully with waitressing again, I can burn off a lot of calories working since I'll be walking nonstop! I'm seriously considering buying a pedometer and tracking my steps since I'm working again and don't have a lot of time to work out. That might help me to think I'm working out a little bit.

Thanks! Yea, I love the Elliptical a lot more, but I am wanting to start doing 5K races again so I'm needing to train on the treadmill for it. Which kinda sucks, but my neighborhood isn't the greatest to take my son outside and run. I just don't trust a lot of people on the following streets. So, I deal with the treadmill all week but one day and then I go to Sedgwick Park. But yea the Elliptical is soooo much better! You burn about 50% MORE calories in 1/2 the time than a Treadmill!

emoticon It's good that you're not discouraged by not losing anything on the scale because it's not always about that. You can lose inches or gain muscle without losing the pounds! And as long as you're feeling good on the inside, that's all that counts!! I also think that a pedometer would do wonders for you. I've always loved the elliptical more than the treadmill, I always see more results with that. Good luck!

I think I'm going to try and pick one up tomorrow! I used to have one, but my little one got ahold of it and, of course, threw it across the room at the wall! Thanks so much for the motivation!
