Good call. Sometimes we need to dial it back a bit before we can move a head to meet our goals.

I saw your blog and I see why you are confused. There are 3 types of calories and you are only considering 2 of them.
BMR is what your body uses to maintain your basic bodily functions. Heat beating, food digesting, maintain your body temp and do. Think of these as coma calories. Even if you were in a coma and totally inactive you would burn calories.
Intentional cardio you understand of course. But you also use calories to move thru your day. If you are fairly inactive assume another 15-20% of your BMR for basic activity daily. I think you didn't count this in. This is why strength does not get assigned calories by Spark. Strength training does not burn a significant # of calories compared to what you burn thru general activity, and Spark already considers general activity.
Hmm, the exercise number seems pretty low. How did you track it? What is your given calorie range? Fitness goal?
Don't be disheartened! It looks like maybe you need to tweak your plan a little bit, but it CAN be done and you CAN do it! Drop me a line if you want some help troubleshooting!
today 1 june i bought an ab wave to try. can always send it back if it does not work for me. I thought it was worth a shot.
Because if my lower back problems it looked ok for me.. updates to follow
