For a person trying to get more sleep (and who woke up at 6 a.m. today), the repeat performance on the late-night Sparkin' is tough. I'm pooped. Seems like there are few opportunities during the day to take a break to Spark (or read or relax... though I did fit in a 15 minute walk!).
After the walk, I was able to focus better on work. Guess my eyes and brain needed the break. Need to do THAT more often.

The house is peaceful, and there is no competition for my attention. Having the television OFF is a good thing for now.
Our golf league match was postponed (until tomorrow) due to thunderstorms. Since I couldn't get golf in, I decided to go to a meeting that I would have otherwise missed. I just got home from a P. Chef training meeting. We had a fun time and learned about the new products coming with the next catalog. Several attendees brought new recipes, most of which don't fit with a low-carb lifestyle. And, I caved.
The carb damage is done: 1 cup cranberry-chicken Risotto (de-lish!), 1/2 S'mores brownie, 1 pecan tassie, and 3 large cubes of bread dipped in oil and vinegar. A Tassie is like a mini pecan pie (at least it was gluten free). The damage could have been worse, though. Thank goodness I had the presence of mind to eat some lean turkey breast before the eating began.
Now it's time to track all that carb-y goodness and get back on-track tomorrow...with an extra side of veggies.
