151 for a Sensational '61'

Goals and plans for 2013 - starting off with NJ Team Challenge of 13 lbs in 13 weeks.
Considering the gain that I've had this month - I'm counting on that challenge to be manageable. If it's not - I'm in serious trouble.

I am working on regaining my fitness addiction - grasp that and I will be on track to a successful year.

In the meantime, while I'm working on the addiction :O I will:

1) Continue with Current Cardio Plan (minimum 360 a week w/lots of Zumba)
2) Continue Clean Eating - not difficult as long as I
3) avoid Trashy Treats

4) Eat Breakfast 5x a week - not my favorite but It's important
5) get 6 hours of sleep 5x a week - seriously? oh my goodness
6) No PM Foods - not really difficult for me
7) Plan my snacks - basically - stock up on healthy and then EAT THEM
8) Review and Re-Set Goals each evening for next day - Really want to implement this one

9) Rewards Create a list and set levels - not easy for me -but it is fun to work on it.

10) 3 New Spark People Videos a week
11) Schedule Training sessions - Totally looking forward to this
11) Try a New Class at Gym - probably Spinning sinceI got a new bike
12) Master Jump Rope - 2012 was the Hula Hoop - this year gonna work on Cardio Skipping

Getting back the addiction and maintaining that seems to be crucial to my success so I may be re-aligning my plan often. 13 lbs right now is the priority.

"NO REASON to Not buy the new red dress" I say, as another customer looks at me and smiles.
We had stopped by a new store after our nice lunch at Panera's, to look for a little white sweater. I need a way to stretch my clothing budget and wear the new 'summery' clothes for awhile longer. Success, Sweater Found.

BUT while looking, I just HAD to try on the red dress to see what the sweater would look like, RIGHT? Afterall - 'little red dress' has been on my Reward list since my May, Sassy & Sexy by Sixty Birthday.

weel, the Price was right - Fit was perfect - purchase made!!

5 hours later I asked DH if he realized there was a WIDE belt with that dress.
His eyes lit up = he nodded with a smile and I realized the belt was part of the reason he liked it.

Entirely too many years of No Waist - No Belts, in fact he usually critiqued my shopping choices based on the waist/belt feature. Well,

My eyes suddenly teared up as I remembered the day my mother told me I needed to pull down my skirt - it was 'riding up' in the back. My response was, "no mom, it's not riding up - my stomach is pushing down the front". I had no waist.

It is so awesome when DH is part of my NonScaleVictories. This one was sweet, special and awesome. I am just sorry that my mom is not here anymore to share in this victory.

I love this story for oh so many reasons, not the least of which, is the fact that I long to buy a dress with a belt. Someday!

Congrats and way to go!

Awesome story--thanks for sharing. I am sure glad that little red dress went home with you!!

Thanks for your comments on my blog as well. Knowing that it is now under 2 months until Christmas with my time to prepare being shortened considerably by my pending surgeries makes me kind of nervous. I guess I hadn't thought about asking the right person for help with all there is to be done. I sometimes miss the forest for the trees.

Congratulations on your success!!

2 Thumbs Up on Today's Fitness

Thursday, October 04, 2012

No way did I expect to accumulate the time I had today. Got home from work and decided to go to gym early - Jumped in on the TRX class before my ZUMBA class. Talk about an intense workout. I think I'm totally nutz sometimes.

Anyway -

What did YOU track in Fitness today???

You Hold the KEY

Friday, September 28, 2012

Splurged today when I had to run to the store on a work related errand. Picked up a copy of Woman's World - you know - one of the pubs at the checkout stand that is designed for customers to NOT resist - a must have purchase. I do this occassionally for the Sudoku and CrossWord puzzle. I am usually able to complete them quickly and get a limited sense of satisfaction. At least it's fat free.

SO - anyway - this is what I read and really liked it enough to want to save it - hence - Today's Blog - borrowed from Woman's World Oct 8 publication:

.....YOU hold the key that will unlock your dreams.
............Succeeding always starts with Believing.

.....So instead of seeing what you aren't,
.............see what you CAN BE.

.....Instead of looking back at where you've been,
.............look ahead at where you're going.

.....Instead of telling yourself you can't,
..............tell yourself YOU WILL.

...Because --- Deep Down --- you KNOW it's True!!!
