I restarted my journey in earnest last week and I'm really trying to slog through this thing. Trying to eat right and get exercise. My hubby is really helping with the exercising part dragging me kicking and screaming to the gym. Once I get there it's not bad, but it's just the getting there. Doing well pushing myself on the elliptical.
I'm also being more conscious about what I'm eating. Increasing whole wheat vs. white, increasing fruit and veggies.
The part that makes it tough is he's shed 8lbs in the past week or so, while I've only lost 1/2 a pound. That's tough. Really discouraging but I'm trying to stay the course. He says even if I'm not losing pounds, I am toning. Still discouraging as I wish I could see good concrete evidence of my efforts, or the reward of seeing the scale go down.
