Update mid-December

I was officially diagnosed with MS a month ago.

I've been going to the gym for 6 weeks now. I've lost 12 lbs. I can get up off the couch without using my hands. So, my legs are getting stronger. I can do about 2 minutes on the treadmill without holding onto the rails. I'm doing treadmill and elliptical. I still have a lurchy walk, but legs definitely getting stronger. Now, if only my swallowing issues and my hand issues would get better.

I've lost 8 lbs in 18 days. Been on treadmill at gym almost every day. My work schedule keeps me from going every day. I'm up to 40 minutes on treadmill. I'm going to try the elliptical today, but I'm not sure I can do it. I have weakeness on my right side and a knee with very little cartilage left. But I will try. I go to the YMCA so I can go right into the hot tub when I'm done. I could no do this intense of a workout if I didn't have the hot tub.

starting over (again)

Well, after a rough year, I'm back on track. I left my husband, had a bad fall that injured my hip, broke my foot, and now have a nerve tumor in my foot where I broke it. I had to quit my job due to the injuries, and I met a boyfriend online. I moved to a new area to be with him, somewhere I have never been before. Big city for a small town girl. I like it here, and being close to him.So, I have gained back a lot of my weight. But due to intensive rehab, I am now able to go back to the gym. I drop weight real easy as long as I can go to the gym every day. So now I am at 230lbs.. Ugh... but at least its not the over 300 that I was when I started this journey.

Well, in may I injured my IT band and SI joint badly enough that I had to quit my job for 6 weeks and stop running. I gained back 15 lbs because I couldn't power walk or run any more. I just got cortisone injections in my hip and thigh. I'm now doing hard cardio in a gym... For 1+ hours EVERY day... Level 5 treadmill at 3.5 mph. And stationary bike. So reset my weight loss goal. And back on track again. I can do it...
