starting over (again)

Well, after a rough year, I'm back on track. I left my husband, had a bad fall that injured my hip, broke my foot, and now have a nerve tumor in my foot where I broke it. I had to quit my job due to the injuries, and I met a boyfriend online. I moved to a new area to be with him, somewhere I have never been before. Big city for a small town girl. I like it here, and being close to him.So, I have gained back a lot of my weight. But due to intensive rehab, I am now able to go back to the gym. I drop weight real easy as long as I can go to the gym every day. So now I am at 230lbs.. Ugh... but at least its not the over 300 that I was when I started this journey.

Well, in may I injured my IT band and SI joint badly enough that I had to quit my job for 6 weeks and stop running. I gained back 15 lbs because I couldn't power walk or run any more. I just got cortisone injections in my hip and thigh. I'm now doing hard cardio in a gym... For 1+ hours EVERY day... Level 5 treadmill at 3.5 mph. And stationary bike. So reset my weight loss goal. And back on track again. I can do it...

Warmer weather and new clothes

I am enjoying being able to go on my walks without wearing two coats and a pair of gloves. I got a new pair of insoles for my NB running shoes. I wore holes in the old ones where the balls of my feet strike. I bought 4 new shirts and 1 new pair of pants this weekend. I am now officially a size large in shirts. A long way fom a 3-4X. I am between a 12 and a 14 in pants, still. Looking forward to owning all 12's soon. I was a 22-24 in pants. Got new earbuds for my iPhone today, too. I've been taking longer walks now that it's warmer. I need to focus on stretching before and after my walks to avoid sore leg muscles. I walk so hard and fast that I end up hurting at night when I'm trying to sleep.

10,000 fitness minutes!

Wow, 10,000 fitness minutes in 5 1/2 months. That's an average of about 2,000 minutes a month. I started this journey many years before I discovered SparkPeople, but it's been fun tracking everything here. I'm at (almost) maintenance. I get so much exercise at work that I no longer watch my calories. If I eat under 2,000 calories, I can't even make it through the day. Life is good. New picture coming soon. I got a new swimsuit for my birthday and I love it. It fits great. I have never owned a swimsuit that I like until now. It wasn't cheap, but it was well worth it. It has a good built in bra and a tight tummy panel to hold in all my extra belly skin that I have from the 115 lb weight loss.
