Hebrews 12:28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: K.J.V. In Public Domain

Thought for the Day: We are saved by Grace. It is a gift that can not be earned or won. Let us enter into His presence with reverence and Awe at who He is and who we are and who we are not. Psalms 100 Micah 6:8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? K.J.V. In Public Domain

Ephesians 2:7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.K.J.V. Hebrews 12:1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,K.J.V. In Public Domain

Again! A Choice and a Regret!

Thursday, May 24, 2012

Jesus helps us look to the future with eyes filled with hope and not regret. I wish to share three kinds of regrets that causes pain and even torment for people. Jesus can help us say no to the pain and consequence of such sin and painful regret it brings; by our own free will of obedience.

Three true stories of three kinds of regret with one common connection.
A personal choice make all the difference.

Regret #1 Problem: This first one I have one I will share with you! I was weak in the flesh and not tender to God's leading! I was very tired and it was time it was late. I felt I need to go and visit a neighbor and tell her about Jesus. I know the feeling was a urgent request from my God and Creator. But because I was tired I went to bed. I will do it first thing tomorrow. Yet! She died that night. I had not even interceded for her. The regret was that this could have ended for her in the wrong eternal place because I did not obey. Had God sent some one else when I did not obey? Tears and repentance could not change the outcome. Yet! God forgave me. Problems: Self will and not tender to the leading of the Lord. Lessons in life to escape this kind of pain and loss. Prayer: Heavenly Father, Open my eyes to see your ways and will for my life daily. Help me to be a intercessor that none be lost that I might be able to show the way of Salvation to anyone that you put on my heart or you put in my path I want to obey instantly to escape future regrets and pain like that again. Help me to be an over comer and sit at your feet and learn your ways and will for my life. Help me Lord for I now chose to obey! I know at times I will fail but help me Lord to more and more do your will. I humbly pray. In Jesus name Amen.

Regret #2 Problem: Self determined and not tender to God's leading! (A true story that happened to a Lady I knew years ago.) The car pulled out and the trip home would be along one. The Christian Lady knew she had to get from A to B. She would be tired by the time they got home. They were within a few hours of home when she felt the urgent request from the heart to pull off the road but she knew her time table and well it was probably nothing. She got a headache and a half but still did not pull over. Later after the accident and nearly losing her fight for life itself she found her choice brought great loss in her life. Her love one in the car with her had died in the accident and God had tried to warn her. She had went on to meet her on agenda. Tears and repentance could not change the outcome but it would enable her to be forgiven and have a right relationship with God again. Yet! The hardest part was the forgiven herself and the loss she and her family had to bear. Lessons in life we can learn is to escape this kind of pain and loss. To give our daily agenda to the Lord and ask for His direction and protection and obey Him instantly. Proverbs 3:5Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. K.J.V. In public domain

Regret # 3 Story from the Bible: Problem: (Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; K.J.V. In public domain) Sin has a pleasure of the moment but painful regret at getting caught with all its troubles and consequences. A women chose to commit adultery. She and her lover were caught in the act. She was brought to Jesus and shoved at his feet. What had she to lose: The law of the Old Testament calls that she be stoned. Consequence:. Humiliation, loss of a relationship with God, Church, family, loss of respect of family/community, death, and eternal loss.

John 8:3 And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,
4 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.
5 Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?
6This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.
7So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.
9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

The world will always be ready to cast stones at you for the sins done by others but Jesus calls you to himself. Repent! All sin has the penalty of death. Jesus paid for our sins on the cross. Isaiah 1:18
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. 19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: 20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it. K.J.V. In public domain

Let us bring our sin case to Jesus! We all are sin sick and need the miracle healing from Jesus. You see he has compassion and is ready to forgive and help. They who themselves were sinners were ready to stone her for her sins but he ready to forgive. I want Him to be my lawyer and my judge. I rejoice that I can sit at His feet in all humility, knowing He is God, and learn His ways and the will for my daily life. (Psalms 100) He will indeed be our judge on the great judgment day but let us first seek him in all humility, reverence, and with total repentance of any and all sins. He took our punishment on the cross and says to us all “Go and sin no more.” Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.     Beautiful. You are right to regret not listening to the spirit prompting you to visit your friend, but I truly believe that the Lord in his tender mercy intercedes not only for the living but the dead. If she was willing and of a heart to listen to you here, she will have the opportunity to receive a fullness of the gospel on the other side. That is why you were so fully forgiven. Although it might have brought your friend great peace to receive your visit, I believe that she will indeed receive the gospel and the tender mercies of the Lord's redemption and be received to the glory that she is worthy to inherit.

1 Peter 4:6 (KJV)

6 For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

In Psalms 46:10 (KJV), the Lord said: "Be still and know that I am God." I believe that the Lord will bring the truth of this fully into your heart. He loves all His children and His work is to bring about the salvation of men.

Isaiah 55:8-9 (KJV):

8 ¶For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
