Today I wimped out after only 40 minutes on the treadmill at a 3 mph pace and 1% incline. I like to do 60 minutes with a 5 minute cool down, but I wasn't feeling it today. I have a sore throat and just feel kind of run down.
I'm looking at 40 minutes as a huge victory over where I was even a month ago, instead of a total failure.
I'm trying not to be totally Type A about the journey. I read a quote recently, it went something like this, "just because you dropped one egg doesn't mean you should drop the other 11." I am trying to keep that in mind and be my own cheerleader. I'm far too good at being my own worst critic.
