number 1: we found the lights for the tree. And put them on.

Number 2: everything that was supposed to be wrapped got wrapped.

Number 3: I got to bed at a reasonable hour.


What went well 12-23-14

number 1: my trainer was feeling ill so we didn't meet. This is good because I am not exhausted and I didn't catch whatever he has got. But I did miss a workout.

Number 2: I am finally getting into the holiday mood. We watched a bunch of Christmas movies and that really helped. Scrooge, Arthur Christmas, 'twas the night before Christmas, a bunch of muppets and John Denver sing alongs... It was very fun.

Number 3: Youngest's digestive issues are better on this higher dose of his meds. It is three times the normal adult dose but the problem goes away here. If this is the dosage to get control then this is what we should do. It is just really high. He will be at this dose for at least a week and then we can think about changing it. But I don't know if I want to. I like having the problem go away!

number 1: we went to the park and met with friends for a few hours in the sunshine! Sunshine!

Number 2: I got a reply from youngest's doctor about the digestive problems and we have a plan. It is not my first choice, but it is a plan.

Number 3: we are almost done with school for the semester. Still working on finishing the Greek myths book and editing an essay.

What went well 12-21-14

number 1: the recital happened. My older son and I played carol of the bells and he played a fantasie of this old man. My joy at playing is renewed. I was considering stopping at the new year, but I don't think I will anymore.

Number 2: the sun came out. This is going to be on my list for a long time. At least until I stop expecting it to rain.

Number 3: I got my macro update from the diet coach. I have to say his method works and I really like the results. I am having a hard time getting my head around this new way of eating. Low carb is harder than I thought. I guess I lived under a rock, but the fact that carbs are in broccoli and apples and bananas and cauliflower is news to me. I knew there were carbs in bread and noodles and potatoes and cookies, but having to watch how much fruit I eat is a difficult transistion.

number 1: the scale moved in the right direction.

Number 2: we went to the holiday magic laser show at the planetarium. It was cool.

Number 3: sweet potatoes are yummy when baked. They are even really really yummy.
