Number 1: I went biking riding again. Maybe this will be a habit! This is a habit I could like.

Number 2: I watched much of season 3 of Grimm. It is a tv show I recently found and I am greatly enjoying it.

Number 3: Husband and older son went to Magic prerelease tournament. (This is the Magic card game not like rabbit out of a hat.) They both lost but the prize for losing was more Magic cards so happiness was everywhere. The prizes for winning were better cards and even some money.

Number 4: Daughter and I went to Great America to watch the ice and broadway shows. We were planning on staying for the fireworks but the Island Reggae Festival got out after the fireworks and I do not deal with the level of traffic that would generate. We watched the fireworks from home instead and that was a good thing.

Number 1: I went bike riding again. It was still good.

Number 2: Younger son had swimming lessons. The teacher he was supposed to have didn't come in. That means six different teachers in six lessons. I filled out a comment card.

Number 3: We went back to Great America last night. I saw the ice show and the broadway show and went on the wooden roller coaster with my son. We only saw part of the fireworks because we were late getting to our meet up spot but it was still fun.

Number 4: I showed younger son a drawing lesson I found online and he liked it. It showed drawing a cartoonish shark. I think we may end up using that as art next year.

You're doing great with the bike riding, good for you! Wow, 6 different teachers, that has to be confusing for the little guy! I've only been to GA a couple times, but it is a blast! Glad you had a good time.

That's cool having an online drawing lesson to teach him, especially since he enjoys it..Great job, mom!!

Have a wonderful weekend.

Number 1: Still more biking with oldest son. I think this is getting to be a habit! I like my new exercise partner.

Number 2: Younger son had swimming lessons again. He had yet another new teacher, but this one was scheduled that was weeks ago. Today he should have this same teacher. I hope.

Number 3: I think I have decided what I am going to do for younger son's schooling next year. (We are homeschoolers.) Instead of doing a normal history program we are going to do architecture. So study some famous buildings and how they were made. And then why they are still standing (or not!) for science. He will write about the buildings for writing and read about them for reading. And I am looking into a learn to draw program for him for art. Not exactly what the public schoolers are doing, but I think it will work for him. Now, I just need to plan it.

we as parents will always know what is best for our children. schools now are trying to raise our children and I do not agree with that. At one time I thought it was so weird to homeschool a child but now days I think its the best. emoticon

Number 1: I went biking again with my older son. He is definitely getting faster.

Number 2: My younger son had his swimming lesson. Another new teacher. He liked this one better than any of the earlier ones.

Number 3: My husband's friends came over and we played board games and then watched the Lego Movie. I went to bed really late. (That is why this blog post is late.)

Wow, you sound like you have a great day, I'm so happy for you. I wish my husband liked board games, or even card games. My entire family does, and he hates them, and will go sit and watch tv instead of playing with us, no matter how much we beg him to. It really sucks. Oh well, such is life.

Have a great day.

What Happened Today 7-8-14

Wednesday, July 09, 2014

Number 1: Today was day two of my younger son's week of swimming lessons. He had a lesson at 1:30 and then his normal one at 5:15. The purpose of the week of swimming lessons was to give him some consistency and extra practice. Well, the extra practice is working well. His classes are supposed to have four kids and he was the only one there. The problem... consistency with the teachers. The swim school is having issues with staff turnover. So of the 6 classes he is having this week, he will get five different teachers and that is if the same teacher is there on Thursday and Friday. At least he is getting to know most of the staff.

Number 2: I had my recorder lesson today. We worked on the same notes we worked on before. I am getting better slowly.

Number 3: Older son and I went bike riding again. He is getting faster. So am I!

Number 4: I got an update from my diet coach. He is adjusting my calories higher. He suspects my body has decided that it is starving and is not giving up the weight without a fight. We are going to try to convince it I am not starving.

You'll be able to do this, never ever give up, and don't let your body win this fight, let your mind win!

Great blog - sounds like a busy but fun filled day! Well done on your achievments with the recorder and bike riding. At least your son is getting to know more teachers haha I liked that! Sounds like your committed to your eating plan but its good that some adjustments are going to be made as it must be frustrating eating so well and your body not responding in the way you want it to because it thinks its starving emoticon
