So the lovely ladies of the Wisteria Wolves allowed me to participate in their BE MINE challenge and one of the steps was to blog about my goal, the BLC, my struggles, and triumphs... it kinda got me really thinking about why and I am here. I am a fairly happy and confident person no matter what size I am!
When I first started this journey in 2007 it was all about losing weight for my wedding. Sparkpeople helped me acheive those goals in a healthy way and it was so easy. Then after my wedding I just quite! I stopped logging on, I stopped working out, I stopped eating right.. why? Because I was comfortable and happy?! Such BS... I got lazy! I gained 70lbs in a year! WHAT?? A year!! I was the heaviest I had ever been by almost 35lbs!! I kept that weight on for another year until last summer when I was just over it!! I was tired.. tired of being lazy... tired of being fat... tired of lying around.. just tired.. So I started the c25k and not eating sugar or bread.. I lost 30lbs in just a few months! By August of last year I was back to a tolerable weight! I got to 185lbs and still wanted to lose another 25-30lbs.. but lost motivation and ended up gaining 15lbs back.. so I started the BL17 and got assigned to the Azure Destinations. I was super overwhelmed by a lot of things and had a hard time keeping up.. I started off rocky and ended as a floater.. But then was asked to be in a Seasonal Accountability Challenge with a few girls from Azure (The Triplets) and did much better. So I decided to try BLC18 and they gave me a second chance! I am SOO glad they did because this round has been great! I have really connected with my team and made some great friends!!!
So WHY am I here now.. why do I wanna lose the weight now? I just want to find my balance. I want to be at a healthy weight and maintain that weight.. forever! I want to be happy and healthy and stop going up and down and up and down.. I am over that!!
So my goals for the reamainder of this challenge are:
- Lose 10bs (SW: 196.2lbs)
- Finish painting my kitchen cabinets
- Declutter and organize my closet room
- Drink 64oz of water EVERYDAY!!
- Track everyday
I think those are fairly reasonable! :) I know they probably seem small but I really want to make some habits that stick around. Tracking everyday helps me stay accountable and drinking water always makes me feel better.
I want to end this challenge strong!! :)
