One year gone, pounds gone, inches gone...

So today is technically my one year anniversary for starting a healthy lifestyle! :) So I took measurements today to see what all I have lost.... thought I would share with everyone! I am pretty excited! :)

Weight: 197 - 175 = 22 lbs lost

Rt arm: 14.13" - 12.75" = 1.38" lost
Lf arm: 14.5" - 12.5" = 2" lost
Rt thigh: 26" - 23.5" = 2.5" lost
Lf thigh: 26.38" - 24.75" = 1.63" lost
Bust: 43.5" - 40" = 3.5" lost
Waist: 42.38" - 38" = 4.38"
Hips: 43.5" - 40.5" = 3.5" lost
Neck: n/a - 13"
Under Bust: n/a - 36"

So after one year of being on Spark and trying to live a healthy lifestyle I have lost a total of 22 lbs and 19"!! And I have KEPT it off (this has been the hardest part)!!

I would still like to lose 15 more pounds and gain muscle definition! So I am keeping at it! :)

Thanks to all who have helped me through this past year! Without SparkPeople and the Louisville Losers I don't know how I could have ever made it here! MUAH! You guys rock!!

It's true! I resisted the Tace Bell craving for the first time in weeks today!!! I am so proud of myself! :0)
I didn't bring anything for lunch (forgot) and instead of heading for the Border I remembered I had an apple and orange in the fridge!!! WOOHOO!! I'm saved! hehe.. So I am currently munching on apple and orange slices... and, of course, drinking some H2O!
It's the little things that make you feel great and set the mood for the rest of the day! I am so excited for my small, but significant achievement!!

    Because of this blog I actually passed it up for dinner also!!!!! I left the gym and called the fiance to tell him I was on me way... he's like 'stop and get TB.." I said NOPE gonna make salmon... he was good with that! :) It was really hard to say no and when I got home I DID NOT want to cook... but I did and it was GREAT!! OMG, it was sooo good!!! I am really proud of myself!

    Great achievement! You just reminded me that it is 11:30 and I haven't had any H2O today. Yikes!!

I was also getting a craving for some fast food. But decided I'll stick to my very healthy lunch that I packed.

    Glad you missed the border! Usually when I get my fast food craving, I head to Wendy's and get a large Chili for 330 calories, 9 grams of fat. loaded with protein!

Losing inches!

Since I only lost 0.4 lbs this past week I decided to check out my measurements. I have been kicking my mucles into another gear by adding more weight to my workouts and I guess its doing my body good! Check out my numbers from last week vs. this week! I am so proud of myself!!!

Rt Arm- 13- 1/4"
Lf Arm- 13"
Rt thigh- 24"
Lf thigh- 24"
Bust- 40"
Waist- 38- 1/2"
Hips- 41"
Under Bust- 35"
Neck- 13"

Rt Arm- 13" (Lost 1/4")
Lf Arm- 13" (same)
Rt thigh- 23 1/2" (Lost 1/2")
Lf thigh- 24" (same)
Bust- 39 1/2" (Lost 1/2")
Waist- 37 1/2" (Lost 1")
Hips- 41" (same)
Under Bust- 34 1/2" (Lost 1/2")
Neck- 12 3/4" (Lost 1/4")

I lost 1 full inch in my waist in one week!! WOW!! :0)

    Way to go, Jen!! I weighed in this morning but haven't taken new measurements since the start of the challenge... I was afraid they'd all be the same and I'd just get discouraged. (For some reason, if my weight's the same, I don't get discouraged, I just assume it's water weight fluctuation or something.) But you give me hope!! Your ramped-up cardio is sure to pay off by the end of the challenge, too... keep up the great work! :)

Curtis and I finally settled on a honeymoon destination!! Ochos Rios, Jamaica!!! We booked everything today! I am sooo excited!!! We are staying at an awesome Villa at Sandals in Ochos Rios! Only 6 months away!

I need all the motivation I can get to be ready for that bikini!!!

Brownie Fix

For those of you who have not tried No Pudge Brownies you MUST go purchase a box NOW!! Right now! You will thank me for years to come! hehe...

Last night I remembered that I had purchased a box of No Pudge brownies several week ago and decided to make them. I was craving brownie batter like no other! So I go get the box down and proceed to read the instructions.... when I realized that if I made this box of brownies I would eat at least half of the bowl of batter... until I noticed on the side of the box a helpful hint... you can make SINGLE servings!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?! It was great! You just take 2 tblsp of the mix and 1 tblsp of vanilla yogurt, mix and you have delicious batter!! For an actual brownie, just pop that sucker in the microwave for 60 seconds and you have a scrumpcious, chocolatey piece of heaven. The best part, its only 100 calories and a pretty large serving!

I actually made a single serving, ate half of the batter, then nooked it for 45 seconds and ate the remainder as a brownie! It was GREAT both ways!!!

It's official, I am hooked! :0)
