Jeans! A new experience!

Friday, March 13, 2009

I put on a washed pair (and let's be honest...there is a difference in putting them on just washed/dried and reshaped versus putting on the pair that you wore once but didn't wash again just yet) and I had room in them. Room! What a concept! lol. I have not been a fan of jeans because they are always so conforming. I get to wear jeans to work on Fridays...so it really put a pep in my step today to have room in my jeans. Yay! Jillian Michaels can bring out the best in you! he he.

Day 2 of 30 Day Shred = Sore!

Thursday, March 12, 2009

Oh my heck are my thighs sore. Nothing else is sore. Just the thighs. I might switch to one of her other ones...like the glute one. I could focus on the glutes for a day or two.

It's amazing...I got the endurance up on the elliptical and could jog just fine...but I try something like this that only lasts 20 minutes and it is kicking me in the pants!

As silly as it sounds...I hope it doesn't cause the scale to go up because of gaining muscle mass. I know I know...gaining muscle isn't bad...but my motivator was the numbers going down. Plain and simple.

To Change or Not to Change

Wednesday, March 11, 2009

The number of days that I workout in my fitness schedule? I am worried that, if I don't adjust this...then everything will come to a screeching halt. That would be upsetting.

The scale was not my friend today...and that TOM is almost here...so I decided the once a week thing is going to be better for my motivation. The positive of stepping on the scale today was the motivation to make sure the exercise gets into my day.

The weather is supposed to be nice today. I am ready for it to stay that way!

Slowing the pace

Monday, March 09, 2009

of how many days that I workout...that is. My fitness tracker always told me I was going way over, and I am still adjusting to a new job and schedule. No sense wearing myself out trying to overdo things. I'm still tracking and eating right...just exercising every other day. I would like to bring my jogging shoes to work and an outfit and jog at lunch now that the weather is nice.

It is amazing that I am just shy of 20 lbs. down. I almost have to pinch myself. I am proud that I have stuck to it and don't feel cranky or crazy about eating well. I'll have to put up a picture of myself from last May and a pic of me in the same outfit for you to see the difference. It would be neat to do that!

I had a great jog on Saturday. 2.34 miles in 25 minutes. Slowly, I am getting faster. I have to submit my application for my first 5k run (not walk!) this week. Weeeeee!

Warm Weather is on the Way!

Thursday, March 05, 2009

I can't wait! The weekend is supposed to be gorgeous, and I am taking the kids over to DE to visit with family. I will bring my beloved running shoes and get exercise the au naturale way and in good weather! I can't wait for the great outdoors to give me more options for exercise!

I got dizzy on the elliptical last night and cut my workout short...but that did not affect the scale news today! Yes...I have an addiction to the scale. I can't help it. I am motivated when I see change. I know that I am doing right when I see change. So there ya go. I am down again and the thing that is so insane to me is that I am just getting my water and journaling. I am not going ape and sweating buckets when I work out. I am challenged by increasing the tension when I reverse direction on the elliptical for every other 5 minutes. Maybe that is just what the doctor ordered?

I am loving a challenge that a fellow twin mother gave me. 40 crunches a day for Lent. If I don't exercise one day, then I am doing 40 crunches and 40 reverse crunches. My abs better look good in a bit from that! There is hope for the belly that was stretched beyond belief when I was preggo with my girls!
