I don't know about you....but yahoooooooooooooo it's Friday! This was a particularly different week for me. My mode of transporation and commute changed. The result? Less than an hour per night with my kids. They didn't like it, and neither did I! Thank goodness my dear husband (DH) was here with them. I did get up at o-dark-thirty yesterday, but I survived it and the reward was being home longer with the family in the evening. I work remote today, so I am super happy about that. I'll have the freedom to exercise any time today, tomorrow, and Sunday...which I really appreciate. I'm hankering to try jogging, but I would like a gadget to track hb/steps/distance/etc.

Despite the way yesterday went, I managed to drop .6 lbs. Woot! I'll take it! I do climb stairs and walk short distances to do all the train stuff, so I did move my body yesterday. Any little bit helps! I am glad that I made smart choices at the end of my day to account for no exercise.

Not enough water consumed, not enough calories consumed, no workout for me because I fear I could injure myself from exhaustion. I've been up since 3:45am. I hope SP and my groups can forgive my slacker status for just this day. Although not enough calories in without working out would not be chalked up to bad at all per my prior calorie range when I was working out more than SP thought and I wasn't getting enough cals. So I fall into the old range.

Tired, crampy from too much TOM, and blech!

Committing to Circuit

When I first started working out at the start of January, I would switch between Pilates for Dummies and the elliptical. Now, it's primarily the elliptical. I would see SP reminding me that I had Circuit to do...but I thought 'hey, I'm burning fat on the elliptical...I'll get to it'. Well, the little waddle under my arms was getting to me, and I knew I had to begin working on it or I'd have shed weight but would lack definition. So....for the last few nights I have added tricep exercise after the elliptical. Sometimes the ankle weights for some glute work. Last night was standing wall pushups and lunges. emoticon

Woman Issues

I have been suffering with ovarian cysts for some time now. They got worse after the 'grill' was closed (i.e. no more babies). As a result, I can go through that TOM twice in a month, or once but for a longer duration. I was hit with the twice a month TOM for this cycle. It will be interesting to see how much it affects me. I have less pain since I am working out daily. I cut back on my coffee intake and switched to I am hoping that is helping too. I came down on the scale after I began interval training, the first TOM ended, and I began varying my cals for the week. I'll just have to see how it affects my goals.



You Can't Always Have Cake

I love dessert. I was really forgoing the cakes/ice cream/etc. If I had something somewhat sweet, it was a hot apple w/ splenda/cinnamon/nutmeg. YUM. That did me just fine. Well, I made a V-day cake with my girls on Sunday. I had one piece on that night w/ half a serving of frozen yogurt. I had a piece last night. I really need to just treat myself on Sunday, I think, and leave it at that. I weighed in today and I am .8 lbs up. So I still lost a pound. Maybe the other morning where I was down again was due to being dehydrated.

    The scale can drive you crazy from day to day. I usually do my official "weigh in " every Wednesday or Friday. I usually jump on it everyday before I hit the shower, but I don't pay too much attention to the daily result. There are wild fluctuations from day to day.

As you said, water plays a role in your weight.

As for the cake...I had a piece of carrot cake with my dinner today. I love cake!
