So Proud of My Friend ....Inspired!

Thursday, April 11, 2013

I just read a blog post by one of my friends on SP and I was so inspired. She has made amazing changes in her life and has definitely had ups and downs in her journey thus far and her hard work and DETERMINATION have paid off. I cannot wait to see her continued success and progress. SO happy for her, so inspiring and motivating for me! :)

"No one said it was going to be easy...."

Wednesday, April 10, 2013

"But it WILL be WORTH it" Every single day I say this to myself at least once...I cannot believe that I joined in January and here it is April and I have only lost 10 pounds. I am trying to stay positive and motivated. I have no one to blame but myself and the same bad cycle I always go back to. I CANNOT, I WILL NOT give up! I hate it when people say "if you want it bad enough you will make it happen"...I want it so bad but the reality is I am a food/sugar addict and addiction is NOT an easy thing to fix....it also doesn't get fixed overnight. I keep telling myself that I CAN do it....looking back over the past 3 months I realize how far I could have come and how little I actually came. I am definitely having a glass "half full" day.....No matter what, the ups the downs, I will not let this battle get the best of me. It might not be easy, heck, it is going to be brutally difficult at times....and I will struggle, and fail....but I WILL keep going, because it WILL be worth it!

Jeetsa, you are awesome. I love reading your blogs, becauses they always motivate and inspire me. Your determined and positive attitude always make me evaluate my own attitude. I think you and I are about at the same place- I've had a 13 lb loss since January, but I'm struggling to hang onto it. emoticon I know we can do it!

Thank you to all of you for your comments! This is why I love SP! I have definitely been switching things up....higher protein, keeping my cal on the lower range and drinking a TON of water. I did really well with the 10 min exercise/day challenge so I have taken that back up as one of my goals. Who can't find 10 min a day! If I have more time I do more but when I was on that team I noticed a difference....and I figure, even if all I get is 10 min a day that is still 70min of exercise a week, boo ya! WE can do this! Love the feedback and positive thoughts, thank you!!!

First let me start with: you lost 10 pounds . . . WOOHOO!!! That is great!

I like sugar too. Carbs are my macro-nutrient of choice.

The first time I came to Spark, I kept a lot of my foods the same as always (just ate less of them and worked out a lot more). I lost weight that way. A lot of weight, actually. BUT then, after awhile, I started slipping and letting myself have more of those foods and less working out. That is where I hit a problem. This time I'm back and trying to go more for healthier food choices or "better" sweet treats with more fruits, smaller portions, etc. It is working for me too.

Maybe you can try switching out your sweets for more fruit?

You can do this!

Yes this is not easy and you do want it badly or you would not be here and trying. 10 lb loss in 3 months should have you dancing, it is great. A year ago I would have paid big money to lose that much. But I did learn something in the last years....it is fight and you do have to want it badly and be willing to work hard to get there.
You have that fight within you!!!! If you feel like you need to do more than try change up something in your plan at times our bodies get use to something we are doing and finds a way to use less energy to do that, so changing up doesn't give it time to get use to anything, this is one way to help lose a little more weight.
Just keep trying and you will in time have the success that you are looking for and YES YOU ARE SOOOOOOOO WORTH IT!!
Hugs and smiles

I hate that phrase! "If you want it bad enough..." **SMACK** You try changing your ENTIRE WAY OF LIFE around!

My husband just came in this morning and said he's lost weight. I could have smacked him bc he's eating the same junk as always and can't keep his pants from falling off his butt! He likes to use this as a 'see, i told you there's nothing to it!' kinda thing. That irks me in the worst kinda way!

Keep doin' what you're doin'! At least you're losing! I haven't seen the scale hardly budge! But that's my fault! I'm trying, and I'm doing things, it's just really hard! And food addiction is real! Like any addiction, it's hard to kick! I'm learning that as well!

No one said it was going to be easy....but it WILL be worth it! :)

So I am in the process of creating a "vision binder" if there is one thing that I would urge everyone to do it is make a vision board or binder of your goals, reasons why you are loosing weight/getting health and plan for doing so....I incorporated workouts I am doing or want to try and quotes that motivate me, pictures of where I want to be and reasons why I am doing this. It is just SUCH a good reminder it is visual and not just somewhere in my mind. Loving it, doing it, worth it!
:)

been a while!

Monday, March 18, 2013

So it has been quite a while since I posted a blog....but no worries it is not because I have gone rogue or off track. I have just been super busy with life. I figured the most important was to keep up with my nutrition logger. Anyway, I am still loving SP Coach and still focused on being healthy! Still trying to reach my 1st BIG goal of getting below 200lbs, but I am AT a ten pound loss woot woot!!! Gonna be in ONEderland soon....I can feel it! :)
