3rd workout with Jake on Friday 9/16

Jake showed me this weeks workouts and I got 30 mins of cardio in. Jake is creating a meal plan for me. He was disappointed to see that I gained 2 pounds my first week with him. So was I! Gotta get food under control!

Saturday/Tuesday

Run 2-3 miles (.25 fast=.5 moderate=.25 recovery)
5 min cool down walk

3 sets 20 db pullover with tricep extension
3 sets of 15 per side hold lunge single arm preacher curl
3 sets of 30 db front lateral raise

    Bummer about the weight gain, but it could be your body adjusting or, as you say, you need to get the food under control.

Sunday 9/11 Workout

Started the day by watching the 9/11 Memorial on the news. My thoughts and prayers go out to the families of those who lost their lives that tragic day 10 years ago. My heart breaks for all of them. That day proves that evil is real...but so is courage. We will never forget.

Jake's Workout for me on Sunday/Wednesday:

40 mins jogging:
(5 min fast = 10 min moderate= 5 min slow) REPEAT

2 sets of 20: leg raise hold
2 sets of 20: side plank rotation per side
2 sets of 20: dumbbell jump squat shoulder press
2 sets of 15: rear delt fly

2nd workout with Jake 9-8-2011

Workout with Jake was better...I didn't get sick!! He showed me all my exercises for the week by demonstrating, having me do them, and then a pop quiz for me showing him all the exercises to ensure I knew how to do them on my own.

Here is our workout Saturday/Tuesday:

Complete 4-5 times:
Jog 3 mins=30 mountain climbers=30 jump squats=sprint 1 min=jog 2 mins=15 pushups

2 sets of 15 per side plank push off
2 sets of 20 lower back snow angels
2 sets of 20 bench dip with single leg raised
2 sets of 20 dumbbell bicep curl while holding v-up
2 sets of 20 standing bicep curl

10 min cardio cool down

I'll post the Sunday/Wednesday workout tomorrow.

Next session with Jake is 9/16 at 2:30.

**UPDATE**

Completed workout in 67 mins and burned 621 calories. It was difficult!!

I only completed the cardio circuit 4 times, and decreased pushups to 10 for the 2nd,3rd, & 4th set. I also decreased bench dips as my triceps were burning!

I'm looking forward to building some endurance so these workouts don't kill me!!

My wedding is less than 8 months away so I decided I should probably get to work so I can look my best on my wedding day!

I called Jake as he is the son of a fantastic lady I work with. I met him on Tuesday, 9/6 for the first time for an initial workout to get to know each other.

OMG! So embarrassed! I worked out with him for all of 15 minutes and felt sick and needed to go outside for fresh air! Humiliating! Definitely an eye opener that I need to get in better shape and eat cleaner!

I signed up with Jake to transform my body for my wedding day! Wish me luck!

I am in the office all week and plan to keep up on my blog! Yay! I wish I could have a little routine in my life all the time...to be so lucky!

Breakfast: Coffee and Coconut Creamer (Kullan picked up the coconut cuz he knows it's my fave, but I've trying to use Fat Free Vanilla lately...oh well! It's all about moderation!)


And Cherry Fage Greek Yogurt.


11:00 AM Snack - Hungry & couldn't wait until lunch time. So I had a Morningstar Chikn Patty and some cherries!
