I've been on SparkPeople for a little over a week now and have really enjoyed it. It has helped me so much to track my calories and motivate me to exercise again. I was on a great little roll until..... (insert tires screeching here)the weekend. My husband had some friends in from out-of-town, and boy did I blow it! Fried green tomatoes for lunch, pizza for dinner, non-diet soda..... Then, on Sunday, I went to my parents and we went out to eat at a Mexican restaurant. Aaarrrggghhh! Okay, so I've made it sound really bad, right? Although my calories were definitely above "the recommendation", I was aware of it and ate less with that in mind. I also tried to choose a more healthy meal at the Mexican restaurant (pretty easy actually). And, lastly, we walked (a lot) with our visiting friends. So, long story short, I had a stumble, but I'm not going to be racked with guilt and give up. Thanks to SparkPeople, I had some additional tools at my disposal and chose to use them. I only hope that it continues to get easier (and that I'll start seeing some results)!
