After 2 weeks of inactivity, it feels so good to exercise... emoticon... While I am waiting for my Chalean Extreme to arrive, I am going to focus on cardio and light strength training to slowly regain my stamina and strength. I have noticed that although I haven't worked out in a little while, I could tell that my body is still relatively fit, however, the result of being inactive for only a short period of time was evident in my resting HR... 72 compared to 59 - 60... and it took my heart rate longer to get back into my aerobic zone... but that's to be expected, and it could have been worse!

.... so today I did Cathes' MMA Kickboxing, and I was pleased that I did the whole workout, including the high intensity drills emoticon and survived!!!!!...

Here are my stats for today:

Total HR: 40:38
In zone: 27:18
HR: 142/206... " I don't know about this, because I didn't feel winded and I am sure that if it was over 200 I should have been breathless... has anyone else had an unusually high HR reading like this emoticon

% percentage of fat burned: 85/123%

Total calories burned: 300 / 35% of fat burned

Yes, I'm having the same problem...it says my HR is 113% but I don't feel winded OR it says my HR is 72% and I'm totally winded.

I'm blaming the Polar, but I don't know what to do about it. I'm not sure if it's the, ahem, insulation between my heart and the strap or some other problem.

~ I won the bid!!!! ~

Wednesday, October 06, 2010

emoticon•*´¨´*• emoticon •*´¨´*• emoticon

.. well, you know that I wasn't successful with my first encounter with EBAY but I have good news...

Last week, I bid, yes, I did, on Chalean Extreme from an EBAY seller that has a store... the bid started @ just .99 and I was primed and ready... I had never done this before, so I was excited.

Well, I put my starting bid in, and then the frenzy began!... There was 29 minutes or so left to bid, so I watched as the bids kept coming... I had read about the strategies to use in bidding, and mine was to wait until the very end of the auction. So about 10 seconds left I put in another bid, and it was the winning bid!!!!... emoticon... It was fun, but tense, because I really wanted to buy it, but not over $70.00, that was my highest bid!... I got it for $66.00... emoticon...

...Ok, so here is the best news... I got the tracking information today... Originally, the package was to come regular mail, but I emailed the seller this morning to ask when he would ship and I mentioned that I was anxious to start a fitness program using the order... within 30 minutes, I got an e-mail with tracking information from UPS... emoticon...

It is scheduled to arrive on October 12th and I can't wait... when I get the order and check out all of the disk, I am going to order my SelectTech dumbbells...

I am so excited... "oh it's on now"... emoticon emoticon

W00t! Happy for you. I luuuuv eBay and Craigslist too. I have found great stuff on Craigslist and also unloaded stuff. When we had a bunch of stuff we were cleaning out and putting in the alley, my daughter suggested putting an ad on Craigslist that it was there, for free, and to come get it. Have done this a few times, and people have gotten it within 30 minutes. Some of it was really old video game systems. Old film equipment. Stuff that would not have gotten much on eBay.

P.S. After I posted I read your other blogs. After all the trouble you had, I can't believe you got up enough nerve to try it again. Hope this one comes through as shipper promised.

I buy and sell on eBay quite a bit and have had only one negative experience. That was with a seller out of the country who kept my money and never sent the item. Through the arbitration process, I eventually was reimbursed by PayPal, and the seller was barred from eBay.

Your experience is, indeed, unique. It seems to me that your reaction was a bit over the top, given that the seller was willing to work with you. You might consider using less emotionally-laden language in the future in dealing with sellers.

It IS disconcerting when a package doesn't arrive on time, and I understand your frustration. It's in everyone's best interests for you to be happy, especially for a seller who relies on positive feedback to drive clients to his/her offerings.

I'm just sayin.

Great! How you been sparkin'? Well I see that you had a sparing match with ebay. Let me say this, dont get discouraged. I have had some really good experiences with ebay and I have had a bad one or two. The good thing about ebay & paypal is that if you dont get your item or in its proper condition, paypal will refund your money and go after the vendor. Also, use the dispute policy on ebay. It seems like a headache, but there are some really great deals on there. I tend not to use any one with less than a certain amount of transactions and I ALWAYS read reviews! Even the fours and five have something on there about service and shipping.

Keep Sparkin

... response to Ebay vendor...

Wednesday, September 29, 2010

What he wrote to me:

Your item has been shipped, and I know this because I'm holding the custom form receipt in my hand. Once it is shipped it is completely out of my control. I have had hundreds of packages arrive and yours is the first that has not made it. I apologoize yours was the one that didn't arrive. I even offered to ship out another one complimentary if your item did not arrive and refund your money aswell. Please don't let out your frustration on me, I am taking a financial loss on the shipping costs on this transaction and it has caused me headaches too. As it is now out of the guaranteed delivery dates I am able to file a claim. I will refund your payment in a moment. How has anything been deceptive advertising? Your feedback is appreciated.

... What I wrote to him:

Dear...

How would I know whether you shipped it or not?... I did not receive it, and that is no fault of mine... You got paid, and I never received my package.... I would rather have the merchandise, however, empty promises deliver nothing.

I am not frustrated, I am disappointed with ordering and paying for something that I have not received... I have been waiting for this order for over 2 weeks, and Canada is not that far away. In my line of business, I deal with vendors in Canada every day, and I have never had this problem.

It just seems quite odd that with all of your "great reviews"... I am the only one that "never" received their order... I would prefer to have my order as I stated, however, at this point that seems highly unlikely...

Your financial burden is much less than what I paid for the order and if you think that it is ok for customers not to receive their orders and to say that "it is out of your hands", you need to re-evaluate your customer service standards... I want my merchandise, plain and simple... if I don't get it, I want my money back... you can take that any way you want...

As I stated, if I don't get my order, or my refund by the end of next week, I will report you to Ebay, and that is a promise...

... is he kidding?!!!!

Dee, I think that it is up to the vendor to make sure that his customer is completely satisfied. Instead, he is making excuses and trying to insinuate that you were the only one that this happened to out of hundreds of packages that he sent out. What is he really trying to say in his email? I think that he is trying to say that, you were not being truthful. I would definitely report this to ebay. You may be the only one out of hundreds of people who had the courage to do something about his dishonesty. By reporting this incident you may be able to put a stop to his deceptive practices.

... LRRSNDRS and SANDY, the problem is that it had already been close to 3 weeks before he offered this to me and if I had accepted his offer, and I did'nt receive that one either, than I don't think I could really fight for a refund... As far as I am concerned, it made no sense to offer to "send a replacement and give me my money back!"... who does that!... no, I think he is lying, because he knew I desperately wanted this product, I have checked on the status of the delivery quite often... maybe I'm wrong about him, but I don't think I am...

Sandy, I'll send you the link shortly....

.. also regarding tracking, that would have been $5.00 extra... he said he paid for shipping...

God bless & tell make sure he tracks it.

What happened to the tracking number that would prove that he shipped it? He sounds full of it. I'd report him. Don't wait and let the time pass where it is beyond research. He sounds like he is playing a game. He should be offering to search and track the package. The mear fact that he rants on and on leads me to believe that he is no sincere. Don't wait to long. This could be a fluke, but he just doesn't seem business like.

I have had the misfortune to experience something similar once or twice. Whatever you decide to do, if you paid by PayPal you should would open a file before that window closes. Then whatever the two of you decide is fair, you can always close it as being settled. I find once PayPal gets involved situations are settled quite quickly. Best of luck my friend.
