More streak motivation

I'm grabbing all the motivation I can get--this time joining FIRSTLADYJ1 to stay within my eating limit for 7 days. How brave (or stupid) am I to start this on the weekend! To make sure I can do it, I just froze all the ribs I barbecued yesterday and I'm going to do my plant-based diet FAITHFULLY for the next 7 days. No excuses! That along with my exercise streak should finally net me some weight loss.

I'll report next Saturday. Want to join me? Want to get SERIOUS about losing some lbs. or still just wishin, and hopin and dreamin about it?

    I'm right on the cusp of joining you. Right now, I'm more inclined to enjoy a rib or two with lots of freggies. I do love my freggies! Hoping to be ready when the Fall 5% challenge begins. Plant-based is what I choose to do part-time as a flexitarian. With all the eating out I do, it's hard to stay plant-based (besides, I love my eggs and dairy, too!). I admire you. You can do this. 21-day Streak!

One of my teammates on the F.I.T. Females In Training team began a 21-day streak of at least 10 minutes of exercise. I joined her today and am inviting you to come along with me. I thrive on challenges and tend to get sluggish and lack-a-daisical when I don't have one. So let's do this!

Are you up for it! 21 days -- no excuses -- at least 10 minutes of some kind of exercise. If you've been doing more, then continue; just be sure to do it EVERY day.

2013 Fall 5% Challenge is open to old and new members!

All my SP Friends who have at some time thought about joining this challenge to give a boost to your weight loss, here's your chance. This invitation probably won't stay open long because we can only add so many new members.

Lose 5% of your weight (or more or less--you set your goal) while practicing good lifestyle habits, and racing (with your exercise) to "virtually visit" various exotic countries with your team mates. It's a blast, no kidding. But the main goal is to blast some weight off your body!

We have fun, but we are serious about this challenge and do have strict rules to keep us participating. So join me for the Fall Challenge!

    I hold our challenges responsible for my success. I had such a good time trying on old bathing suits and getting a new one for our vacation and it's all because of the challenges I've been part of. It is thanks to you, Jonnie, that I got involved in the first time. That is why I consider you my BFF.

    I LOVE this challenge...as you WELL know my darling one! It's always so good to challenge yourself....not only for US...but to bolster our team. On many days that I would have slacked on the exercise...I thought...oh brother I can't let down the Teddy's..that JUST WILL NOT FLY! emoticon emoticon emoticon It got me on that treadmill...when other times I would have made a perfectly good but NOT logical excuse to slack! emoticon Teddy Bears RULE! emoticon

    Thanks for the info! Wild raspberries grow next to our mtn (dirt) road. They are tiny...and 1/2 hr of picking "amongst" the thorns results in 1/2 C, but they are yummy!

Glad to learn about the blackberries' ability to fight cancer!

    WOW, these are fantastic! I wish they weren't so costly at the store. We had wild blackberries and raspberries in the fields, but that was a long time ago. Great information. I might need to stock up on them when I catch them on sale. emoticon emoticon emoticon I feel better just looking at them. LOL!

3 slices of pizza, much Chinese food and some wonderful red wine sent me way over my calorie allowance for the day, but Hey! I'm leaving my kids & grand kids tomorrow to head back to Michigan where I promise to resume my healthy eating habits.

Besides I'll be in the air or tromping around airports tomorrow, and I never eat much when I travel--nothing but junk to choose from--so I'll redeem myself soon.

And did I EVER enjoy myself! emoticon

    Hey...we eat when we celebrate...and you had plenty of celebrating to do! I'm so happy you had a great time with the grands....now just pick yourself up and dust yourself off and get right back on that healthy eats wagon! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon AND...you can always do a couple of laps around the airport! emoticon We need those exercise minutes for the team! emoticon

    i once went to subway right before i went to the airport so i had something healthy when to eat when i got there. i also pack some healthy snacks. Part of a healthy lifestyle means that if you overeat 1 day it will not cause you to keep eating too much.

    The road has its fall downs and get ups and just plain old wiggle room. Sounds like the indulgence was worth it and not at all harmful to the Big Picture.
