The Challenge will begin in 2 days, and I am so ready! Even with a couple of personal challenges, I will overcome, persevere and be victorious over these stubborn 9 lbs.
Challenge #1, the small challenge: The first 3 weeks of the challenge I'll be visiting family--eating, eating, eating. In all fairness to my son, however, he went grocery shopping for all the fruits and veggies needed for my plant-based diet. My veggie-fruit smoothies are already a big hit, even with my grand kids.
Challenge #2, the big challenge: I have a partially-torn achilles tendon and will not be able to walk for exercise, although the extra effort it takes to get around with one leg doing most of the work (especially stairs) must be using some extra calories. I'll be limited to calisthenics and weights for my exercise minutes for the entire challenge.
But there will be no whining; I will somehow find a way to make this work and still get those lbs off.
I'm anxious to get started! Let's go, Teddy Bears!
