I followed my food plan fairly well. I ended with fewer calories but I mad a quick dessert with an organic flax seed waffle and some ice cream, Yum that hit the spot!
I logged all my food and my exercise. So that is going well.

I walked around my neighborhood just once tonight for 1.6 miles. It was a beautiful evening, a slight breeze and not hot and muggy!

I'm trying to do the Falling Leaves challenges and so far it is fun (however I am sore today). I'm also going to try very hard to do the 30 Day Shred Team's challenge. That one will be hard!

Tomorrow I plan to walk with my daughter. To give each other a boost!

Good Night and God Bless!! emoticon

Hump Day! WooHoo!

Wednesday, September 30, 2009

Exercised a little, ate alot! Well not really. DH took me out for chinese food. Of course it would have to be a buffet!!! I ended up over my calories by approx 300. Not all is lost, it was just one glitch in an otherwise good day!

Good Night and God Bless

Every once in awhile we need to go over our calories, as long as we don't make a habit of it , it is ok. Have a nice week end.

Just Keep on Pluggin'

Tuesday, September 29, 2009

Took a 10 minute walk at work today. I needed to wake up, get that circulation moving!

Walked at home did 1.6 miles in 20 minutes, I did run a little. Then I did a pilate/yoga ball workout. It lasted just over 20 minutes. It felt good and was relaxing but I find I prefer a tougher workout. I will try to do the workout at least once a week as a wind down

I have been logging my food. It will work if I stay consistent. I'm not very good with numbers and will either go over or even way under.

Good Night and God Bless!!

The food tracking can be tricky. I have better luck when I plan ahead. I also have a variety of foods for snacks that help to plug my most common nutritional deficiencies. Over time, I know just what to add to the mix. But planning ahead works the best.

I try to do yoga a few nights a week. I usually do it after Maddock goes to sleep as a wind down.

Just me again!

emoticon Day three and I'm doing OK. I logged all of my food...and I walked/ran a 5k. Actually twice around my nieghborhood is 3.21 miles, just over a 5k. One of my neighbors was very surprised I was on my second lap. He knows the distance and my age (or close enough).

I'm finishing my wine, (Yes I added it to my dinner before I poured it.)

Good night and God Bless emoticon

The Truth Hurts! (Or is it The Ugly Truth!)

Sunday, September 27, 2009

Well , first, these are my before pictures, and with me in the third picture is my beautiful daughter, Lenora05. She is nearly at the end of her loosing journey and soon to be maintenance. I am so very proud of her!!

OK, now for the measurements: Chest-44 1/2", Waist-39", Hips-41", Thigh-20", and Arms-20". As I said my weight did go up and is now 156lbs.

I did track my food for the day. So far so good. I still have about 400 calories to use and I'm still stuffed from dinner.

Hopefully I will blog again tomorrow, a workday is hard to fill everything in by the end of the night. emoticon

Good for you, taking those before pics - you'll soon be joining your daughter in maintenance mode, too! :)

Cheers,
Maya

I'm sure Jean will help you stay on track. I've been following her progress, and I am amazed at her dedication.

It will probably be tougher for you than for Jean, but I hope not as tough as it is for me. You are considerably younger than my 60, and you appear to also be taller.

Just know that it's much better to get it off before you reach my age because I can't believe what it takes for me to lose 2 pounds a week.

What I've learned in life is that managing nutrition and fitness is not really optional. We owe it to ourselves to treat our body as if it is the only one we have.

It may hurt now but you will one day be glad you had the "before" pictures done because you yourself don't see the change as dramatically as is shown by the before and after pictures. Good job!!
