1st day of Bootcamp

I'm doing the bootcamp because I want to start exercising in the morning and this would fit into my morning routine.

My scale hasn't changed I'm still at 144 lbs. The good news is that my waist measurement is at 33 3/4 inches. What a surprise that was!! I had to measure my waist 3 more times just to be sure.
My arm measurement is 11 inches, my hips are at 38 inches and my thigh is 19 inches.

I'm also doing Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred and just started level 3. It's not easy! My husband and I rode the motorcycle about 2 hours to Tallahassee and 2 hours back. Usually my lower back would be aching about half way through. Not this time!! My back didn't hurt at all! I'm sure it's from all the core work I've been doing. The only bad part is the sunburn!! Even with sunscreen the Florida sun really got me!

Back on Line; End of week 1

I'm back! We had no phone, cable or internet for a full week! I've been following South Beach fairly well. I did have a few cocktails though. Exercise has been good also.
I did my stats on Sunday, april 5th.
Weight........149
Bust.............35 1/2
Waist............38
Hips...............37 1/2
Thigh............19 3/4
Arm...............11
Calf...............Forgot this one!

I will do this again this Sunday morning...

Day 4 of the Flat Belly diet is over. It really is more anti-bloat, very easy on the digestive system. The "Sassy water" they have you drink is fine but 4 days of it got to be too much. I'm looking forward to South Beach. My husband and I did it several years ago and we both did quite well on it.

As far as drinking all that water, I try to drink 64 to 80 ozs per day. I also include the veggie juice as part of my fluids and my coffee. Although with the coffee I only count 1/2 of it as my water.

Wednesday DH and I go out for trivia and karaoke so this is the only day I do very little exercise at all. Tomorrow will be day 3 of level 2 of 30 Day Shred. I'm going to try to use my 8lb weights. The 5lbs really felt too easy for most of the time. If it gets to be too difficult I will go back down to the 5lbs. I don't want to kill myself!

So far so good. This is making me realize (again!) what real hunger is and just wanting to have a snack because I "feel" hungry. Tomorrow is my last day on this part of my plan and Thursday I will start the South Beach Diet.

    Howdy JAVAQUEEN2,
Glad to hear you're sticking with your plan. My DH lost 25 pounds with South Beach, but it didn't help me because I tend to need higher carb amounts than they allow. Also, I thought I would ask if you are drinking all the water you're suppose to? I find that that makes a big difference in terms of hunger pains. Sometimes a cup of herbal tea will do the trick as well. Anyway, best of luck and looking forward to hearing about more progress. Happy April Fool's Day! emoticonEllie

Day 2

Monday, March 30, 2009

Back to work and it was harder today because I eat at my desk all the time. Mostly healthy stuff except for a Hershey Bar w/almonds or 3 chocolate chip cookies. I'm eating when I get anxious and today I noticed that I wasn't hungry, I just thought I was!!

My husband and I mowed the yard tonight. I was out there for about 30 minutes or so. Then I came in and ran on the treadmill. I was on it for 15 minutes and did 1.2 miles. Not bad for an old girl. Next I want to run for 2 miles!

    Well it sounds like you're a woman with a plan.. and that's most excellent! I used to eat at my desk (before I retired) also. Thought I'd share how I broke the habit oooh sooo slowly. I measured out one cup of cheerios in a container with a replaceable lid. You could use any kind of small cereal you like. I'm addicted to the little O's. emoticon I would only eat one at a time. After the first week, I only measured 3/4 cup, then 2/4...etc. Several friends and co-workers thought I was nuts...and my be! emoticonHowever, this helped me. You can think what you will, but ya gotta love me for my ingenuity, Don't ya??? emoticon
