2009 Resolutions

1. Try NOT to be in charge
2. Take my spiritual growth 1 day at a time
3. Try to be present with others - not wallow in my own muck
4. Journal my calorie intake
5. Drink fewer diet sodas
6. Exercise in some form 30 minutes every day
7. Meditate 3- 10 minutes everyday

    Hi there from one java nut to another!

I followed kuz' here (Keith, that is). Isn't he a HOOT!!!???

Anyway, when I saw that you live near Richmond, I began to wonder if you were acquainted with Integral Yoga Hatha teachers in Richmond or Yogaville in Buckingham? Swami Satchidananda is my primary teacher and I was last at Yogaville in December!

BTW, do you grind your beans? How do you brew your cupa' joe? I loved my French Press, but it did the humpety-dumpety thang...and I just use my Melita 1 cup filter now.

Thinking about joining YOAD challenge

So here is the short story:

-Good food in the house (read labels - first 5 ingredients important!)
-Low glycemic
-Eat the same high fiber breakfast and lunch daily (I think I'll mix up 3 basic meals)
-Eat 3 meals and 2 snacks
-Walk every day
-Do strength exercises 3 x /week
-Stretch 3x/week

Since yoga does both.....can't I just walk and do yoga??

    Did you try it? Last summer I tried concentrating on 30-45 min of daily hatha yoga + plus walking the dog and dancing. That really didn't do it for me weight loss wise. (Of course, I also didn't gain anything either, so that was good.)

    Have you join the March challenge of the Yoga Lovers' team? I am a member of a Yoga class but it has one class(one hour) per week only. I have to do some more practice on my own, at least 3 times a week. Sometimes I find it hard to do it during day time but I insist to do, maybe just 20 - 30 minutes, before bedtime. I find this can help.
I am a member of the Tai Chi team also. Best wishes.
