Christmas SpiritFriday, December 24, 2010
I have had the privilege of meeting a very talented young artist during the last few months. He and his bandmate are in the process of recording in Los Angeles with a grammy winning producer. I am so excited for him. He sings and plays keyboard. I thought that I would share this uplifting Christmas song, written and performed by Mister McKoy. ![]()

For anyone who would want to venture out to my house this is what you would encounter upon entering my driveway.
For those of you who live in a warmer climate and want to experience the snow up close and personal, bring your 4-wheel drive, a snow shovel, a sled and warm clothes. Temperature is around zero degrees. I will have the cup of cocoa waiting for you!

Enjoy! hehe... I know they have closed schools here (and we live a little south of you yet)! Snow emergencies everwhere! Kids love the snow days tho! Hang in there Jan, I'm glad you have a "snowplow guy" to help you get out of there! I know you'll make the best of things! But it sure is cold, isn't it! Love ya, Lori (p.s.,Love the picture of the buck in your yard)!

My snowplow guy is here right now. He said that of all the homes he's done tonight after work, mine has the deepest snow! Just the prize I was looking for!!

Hey, Jan! It really wasn't too bad here early this morning and school was not cancelled - but it really changed as the afternoon progressed! There's a nice young couple renting the other side of the duplex and he's shoveled my front walk and steps three times today! I thanked him and said to not worry about it - I'd go out through the garage if I needed to. He said (and I quote) "That's okay. My mom taught me to always help the elderly." I laughed and he turned bright red after realizing what he had said! I have all-wheel drive and a snow shovel - but you're on your own!!!! Stay warm! Sheila Report Inappropriate Comment |

Wow I am kinda jealous. We are in @ 89 today. Your home looks like a Christmas Card. Wanna trade places? Turn on some tunes boogie a whole lot till you sweat and it wont seem so cold after that. XOXO Victoria

Really cool pictures, with the falling snow in the foreground. We only have a couple of inches right now. I love the way the snow reflects the light and makes everything seem brighter, even at night. Not so much of a fan of when it gets all dirty and black along the roads and little Abby's paws are caked with platform shoes of snow and her undercarriage is full of snowballs! I've had you on my mind but between deadlines to meet and a bad cold, have been less able to spend time on the computer. I thought of you on Thanksgiving, and I realize that this year of "firsts" without your husband on holidays and occasions will be especially hard. Let McGee give you extra kisses and snuggles for me, okay? Report Inappropriate Comment |
