Moving Away?!?

Sunday, May 19, 2013

Hey Everyone, first of all started my running with the help of the couch to 5k podcasts and it is going really well although the first run nearly killed me! ok maybe not killed but wow it is unreal how unfit i am, before i moved to scotland i could walk 6 miles into town all around town and the 6 miles back no problem, now luck if i will walk 1/2 a mile!! But i will be sticking to it as i am enjoying it! Anyway back to the main topic of this blog me and my fiance dave are thinking of moving to canada as there seems to be better job hope's for both of us. I was wondering if anyone on here has ever done that.... i mean move to a different country? or even canada as i could do with as much information as possible about what we need to do to make sure we can get a visa and other things!

Thanks in advance

I am downloading the app as i type this so i can download the podcast's, i like the idea of this as you say it will build me up slowly. i have a pair of trainer's i use for my exercise dvd's so will use them until i work out if running is for me, i will need to buy some bottoms and tops for the running as i don't have any but will go for something cheaper so if running isn't for me i can use them for y other workout's. then if running is for me i will invest in some good trainer's and running clothes :)

Thank you for your information and help emoticon

Jane xoxo

I think a lot of people would recommend the Couch to 5K podcasts. They're how I started off 5 years ago! As far as I can remember you can down load them off i tunes as a free podcast. It builds you up really slowly, 3 running sessions a week over nine weeks with intervals of running and walking.

As for what to wear, I didn't bother getting proper shoes until I knew that running was for me, so I just wore regular trainers. I would probably not get mega expensive shoes until you KNOW running is for you. That's just me though.

Good Luck! xoxo

long story short- i have been feeling great, low on the panic and anxiety levels. sleeping great. loads of energy. i made a stroganoff and used campell cream of shroom. 2+2 = MSG. uneasy sleep, crappy dreams, night sweats and real "wiggy" (that's my word for when i know anxiety and panic are imminent). some more analysis of food points all fingers to MSG. at least for me

panic and anxiety suck, had it for decades. i know how you feel.
hang in there.

Focus on one small change. Replace one soda with a glass of water, something like that. Do it for a couple of weeks. Find a way to give yourself one little piece of success to hang on to. Find one way to cut out sugar (for me it was to not put sugar in my coffee in the morning). Do it everyday until it's habit. I've been 2 weeks without sugar in my coffee now! I'm proud of that one small thing. I can hang on to it as a success, it doesn't matter that it's so small a thing. I did it. Find something like that to be proud of. One small thing - you can do it!!!
