For the first time, I added up the calories I consumed at one of the fancy charity dinners I attend. WOW.
Now understand, I didn't have the cake dessert or the cream soup or any appetizers.
Roast beef, approx 9 oz, nice veggies including asparagus, mashed potato and mashed, plain yam, a glass of wine, half a flatbread with hummus(nice touch that) and a salad all came to a whopping 1213 calories, half of that beef!!!
And today I learned,even though within calories, what a mild session of emotional eating costs --over 600 calories.
Well at least I'm doing well at breakfast. Staying in my range.
It pays to log your food, even if you don't do well. I am learning a lot.
