Live NOW not when you lose weight.

Once again this time of year we are bombarded with Weight loss ads where people give their personal weight loss stories.
"I was fat so I hid in my house for 10 years"
"I didn't speak up at work because I was fat"
"I didn't go out with my husband or play with my kids because I was fat"

Don't wait until you are slim to live your life!!! You may never be slim and fat will mean that life has passed you by.

I have been fat for 25 years. But during that time, I have started a non-profit daycare and been elected as a local politician for 20 years. 20 years of being in the spot light from time to time on TV and making speeches.
I have travelled, I enjoy my friends and family.
I even wear nice clothes.
I have lived life!

Does that mean I'm not dedicated to losing weight? No. My weight is affecting my health and that is a good reason to exercise and change the way I eat.
Now I like walking my dog and I've taken up Zumba and Tai Chi. I swim (in a bathing suit)

I never let fat hold me back but now I want to continue enjoying life.

A New Year, new resolve

Daughter still pregnant, due March 18th. She's coming along!
As for me, I am proud, lost 13 pounds and kept them off this year. My goal for this year, 27 pounds, down to the dreaded 200 lb mark.
Back to curves and writing down calories.

Still at 15 pound loss

Still at a 15 pound loss but my sugar is just great!!! Back to some meat, trying to decrease the carbs. Walking 30 min a day for months now. Running not so much with the heat. Overall pleased

Good cholesterol way up, bad cholestorol down to normal. 3month sugar normal! Morning sugar still high, gotta lose more weight for that to go down.
Blood pressure normal and lost 3 pounds from last visit.
Also Doc says sure I can run, the dog will love it. (three mornings of running so far, 3 minutes each time as part of morning walk)
