Am I going to Start Running?

Found a post when reading the Slowest Loser blog. A woman who started running when she was much bigger than me. As mentioned before, my dog would love me to run and I have mentioned that I would some day too.
I envy the Regional staff who run.
She did it. a 5 k while fat, even obese. Dare I try? Dare I start?
Oh, Sparkpeople you do challenge me. Tune in tomorrow and see if I started.

Learned today by reading the Omnivore's Dilemna that humans are programmed to want fat and sugar and that our processed food is full of corn sugar and fat, often from soy.
It's true!!! Looked at things like my low cal yogurt and whole grain tortilla. They both had fructose/sugrose as an ingredient, though far down the list.
Hurray for whole foods like my black beans and sweet potato!
No wonder I have type II diabetes. Sugar is everywhere! I never eat desserts but I used to eat a lot of popcorn and bread (full of sugar!)
Even bologna and other luncheon meats are full of sugar!!! WOW.
And today, I met my potassium and magnesium with banana, cashews, beans, sweet potato, etc.

    Yeah, processed foods are full of junk. Sounds like you ate some great stuff today though!

Veggie Tales

After yesterday at the Region where supper was a gastly white sauce and pink chicken(that I didn't eat) boiled to death mixed veg and white pasta, finally asked clerks to add humus at lunch and three bean salad at dinner.
They have it in the cafeteria along with the "healthy food" stand up cards from Public Health. So should get it for councillors' meals. I had to have egg salad for lunch, also not a healthy choice.
Hellooooo! That sauce was artery clogging. And I ate a bit more than I should because fatty dairy is one of my overeating problems. I didn't even really like it but craved it!
Also asked GRCA for three bean when have a lunch there.
I just can't eat stuff like meat and fatty dairy and lots of eggs anymore.

Two days of tracking food. Low range of calories today and actually enough magnesium! Thanks you spinach the wonder food.
OOPs, I spoke too soon. Forgot a tblspoon of sunflower oil, some olives and a snack of hummus and crackers. Slightly over for the day!!! Oh well.
