No, vegetarians don't annoy me, but going out to a dinner and having the vegetarian entry can. I got a lovely veg. meal at a dinner the other day and all the people at my table (who I know well), asked "are you vegetarian?" Well I am most of the time now, but I still have some meat. But I had some teeth out a week ago and am still on fairly soft stuff. Meat isn't working right now and it was the traditional rubber chicken at this dinner.
Well then the guy who works in the beef industry was, "have you gone vegetarian?" in horror and I had to explain again about the teeth because I didn't want to get into it with him.
Then I said to them, I can't believe my boldness but I was fed up with the remarks.
"I find it amazing how many people comment on my vegeatarian meal but as a fat person, no one has ever commented when I have ice cream (thank goodness)" That shut them up.
Really, folks, it is rude to comment on others food choices.
But hey, the veg meal was the best at the table, I have to say.
Tonight I am at a dinner that is prepared by people in their home, so I am not going to bother with the vegetarian bit, though will probably only have a few bites of the meat, due to my healing teeth.
