Yup went over my calories last night, I was doing okay throughout the day, well I think I over ate at breakfast. By he end of the day I only had like 200 calories left for dinner and with that I went over :( I probably will today as well since I didn't realize the salad I packed had so many calories in it although I think the amount for the feta cheese in my salad is a little too high...oh well

    Check what your averages are for the week before you get down on yourself too much. If you normally have been eating lower in the range, and it averages out near the middle, then you're actually fine. (In fact, some plans have people deliberately have a couple high range days and a couple low range days.)

Also remember that the calorie ranges we're given already adjust for how many pounds we want to lose - at an amount of 3500 calories per pound. If you go over 500 calories in a week, you have eaten only enough to store maintain 1/7th of a pound while losing 6/7ths of a pound.

As you get more in practice with tracking and learn your portions and which items are higher calorie, you'll find it easier to make the adjustments.

Well yesterday I didn't do too bad, hopefully today will be another good day. I ate breakfast for dinner and ate a little later than I usually do, which seemed to help me not to snack after dinner. I am going to make chicken for dinner tonight although I am not sure how I am going to make it or what to cook with it, that is where I always run into problems and end up going over my calories.

Another Day

Well yesterday didn't go too bad until I ate one too many rice cakes last night after dinner and exceeded my calorie range...oh well let's try again today. I started out well by eating a good breakfast, and my lunch I packed is good as well. I always screw things up at dinner time because that is when I am most hungry.

Well here we are alomost done with my first week. I did okay, not great but okay. I mostly stayed under my calroies except for a couple of days. I need to buy a scale for my house but wont be able to do so until friday when I get paid, so I won't really know how I did until then. I have most of the unhealthy stuff out of my house so that will help matters and I can't afford to go out and spend money on fast food as I use my budget for gorceries. I just really hope this is something that will work. I would love to lose like 20 pounds in the upcoming months, and then eventually lose more. I know it will take time I just hope I am doing everything right, which I am trying to. Last night I went over my calories cause I ate some string cheese with my tea before bed, and ate too much rice with dinner. Ugh I really need better portion control.

So tonight I am going out for my birthday dinner. I am going to be as good as I can be in an Italian resturaunt. I plan on eating Grouper and veggies however the grouper has some sort of sauce on it that you can't get it without. I guess it will be okay to go off my diet a little bit for one meal, and just be good the rest of the weekend. I eally want to be good at this and lose weight, I just worry that I am still eating too much since it feels like my eating habits really haven't changed too much, I am just keping track of them more. Does this mean I really don't have that bad of habit to begin with ? I know portion control is my biggest issue, maybe I will see if there are any suggestions out there to help with that.
