Dude I went to school with

Monday, November 07, 2011

In high school the fattest guys were me and this other dude named John. I was a little bigger then him. Anyway, i've kept in touch with him off and on. Well I seen him yesterday and he has gotten so much bigger. His stomach is past his knees, I felt bad for the dude. He was talking about weight loss with me but you could just tell he really isnt interested. He said something about getting some kind of surgery done. In my head I was thinking dude do something and something soon..I know I gained some weight back but im no where near the size I was..And I was thinking damn if i didnt do anything..I could be in his shape. Something like that shows you that yes losing weight is hard work but its worth it!

My heart always goes out to people in such a difficult situation!

I know what you mean when you say you could tell he wasn't interested. Sometimes I get a little "pushy" and try to scare folks into action because we really are talking about life or death matters!

It's amazing seeing one of those "that could be me" situations. Congrats on making the step in the positive direction.

My NEW bike!!!!!!!!!!!

Thursday, November 03, 2011

I found this under a bush in my parents yard. This thing has to be from the 50's! It even had a fin on the finder! I love this bike for some odd reason! I have no idea why but I do! It spoke to me..Like we were meant to be together..lol..When I first found it, nothing worked on it! Everything was frozen! I've played with it most of the day today. The finder is mostly chrome now just with a few rust spots here and there. The peddles now work but the handle bars are still froze. The bikes tires are dry rotted, the back rim needs to be replaced but the front rim seems to be ok. It needs a new seat.. The only thing that is in good shape is the frame but its covered in rust! I have no idea what the original color of the bike was..lol It's going to take some time and a little bit of money but im going to restore this beauty!!!!!!!

I love vintage stuff, so good luck with it. You would love it, since it likely doesn't have multiple gears. I demand finished pictures. Good project. I'm jealous. I need to repair my bike still, and re-sell it so I can buy a bike that actually fits me. emoticon emoticon

This is just EXACTLY the kind of bike the "tinkerers" in our bike club would have a blast re-habbing for someone to ride! :-)

They're ALWAYS finding bikes tossed in the bushes and cobbling them together for charity.

I think my grandma is picking on me..in a bad way

Thursday, November 03, 2011

This is going to be a very odd blog post but I think its true. Lately my grandma has sort of been picking on me..Not as in hahaha but she is meaning to be mean. Today my nephew came over to borrow some money for his college tuition. He asked me to go see my grandma with him to see if he could get some money off of her. Well while my nephew was talking to her my cell phone rings to alert me about a text. My grandma makes some odd comment about there is no reason to check it because we all know I dont have a girlfriend and never will have one. I didnt say nothing to her but when I got home I started to think about it. She must think very low of me. She has always said negative comments to me or about me to other people but today's comment really got me. When my dad passed away I remember her telling her side of the family that I killed my dad. He died from lung cancer but her explanation of his death is that he never would have taken the second round of them chemo. She believes the second round of chemo killed him. She then told the family that I killed him by forcing him to take it.

Wow, grandma is a seriously negative person. You don't deserve such treatment. No one does. I have some people in my family that are just like this...including my mom, and she grew up in a very negative environment as well. People like this are bitter and trapped in their own unhappiness, it has nothing to do with you.

I just do my best to distance myself from that kind of negativity, and if I have to be around it just let it roll off. If I can I even try to laugh and comment on the negative comments if I know it will leave them stunned and shut them up.

Stay positive no matter what, smile everyday, enjoy the little things and you'll receive joy in return. That's how you live life!

Grandma needs to chill! And you need to stay calm, cool and firmly tell her when she's picking on you that you have to leave now because you don't want to be around her when she picks on you.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I'm wondering if she needs to lose weight and might be jealous of your success? emoticon

When people seem mean, I always say the same thing, mean people are unhappy with themselves. I'm sure your grandma is unhappy with herself in some way. Chose to have what relationship you will with her- without regrets. However, I think I wouldn't sacrifice my happiness for the sake of someone else. Consider what you really feel inside. Follow your heart.

It's hard to have to deal with mean people, especially when they are your family. You did not kill your dad, I'm sure you know that and I'm sure she does too. Some people just handle their pain by lashing out at/ being mean to others. Ignore her as best you can.

You are worth it (no matter what your "it" is)!!

First of all CONGRATULATIONS on your weight loss journey - you've achieved so much and done so well! You are an inspiration to me.

Umm, really not sure what to say about your grandma that will sound polite. She seriously sounds like a really nasty old biddy. I can honestly see no reason at all why you 'will never have a girlfriend' that's utter nonsense in my opinion.

As for the chemo comment and you 'killing' your dad ... I can't go there politely. Suffice to say you didn't kill your dad and I am sure you are sensible enough to really know that. I'm sorry she's so messed up.

Keep on sparking emoticon

Bored

Thursday, October 27, 2011

I've been really bored lately. I dont know what the deal is. Well I have an idea of what my deal is. Its the same thing that happened to me on my first go around with losing weight. I get very energetic and have nothing to do to burn it off. I went walking this morning, then had a HUGE crazing for a protein bar. So I stopped by wal-greens to pick up a few. Then I went to the gym, I came home and watched an esp of Burn Notice. The rest of the day I spent outside burning some old tree limbs and cutting some stuff down. I then hooked a rope to a old log and pulled it across my yard. I've had a pretty full day but im still energetic. I wanna go camping and hiking. The guy I use to go camping with is a jerk now. So I dont talk much to him. I am going fishing sunday at Grand Isle. So that should help out a bit but I wanna do the whole outdoor thing..I'm crazing it! I dont like hiking by myself because well its dangerous! And its not as fun! I gotta find something to do!

Grand Isle sounds like fun...and yes, it's great to be outdoors but SO much better when you can share it with someone else who loves the outdoors too!

Today has been one of those days!!!!

Wednesday, October 26, 2011

Well, like the title says its been one of those days. I tried to go to the track and the gym this morning but when I go to my car, my back tire is flat. When I say flat I mean big time flat. I air the thing back up to see if it will hold air. It has yet to go down. So, i'm thinking someone came into the yard over night as a prank and let the air out. So instead of going to the track and to the gym. I just run my errands for the day to get back home as fast as I can. Since I didn't get my usually work out for the day I decided that I would cut the grass to get some exercise. Guess what? My lawnmower won't start! While messing with the lawnmower I break my chain. Also, my cat walked up to me with a chipmunk which was still alive. So I run after my cat, he drops the chipmunk, and he starts to run. My cat runs after him again and catches him. I once again get the cat to drop the chipmunk. I then tried to put a bucket over him so the cat cant get him. Guess what the chipmunk does? Runs to the cat! The cat bites into him and runs off...I tried to save the chipmunk but what can ya do when the chipmunk isn't helping himself?

Something did happen that was funny today. I've kind of got into using coupons. I don't get over board with em but I like getting small things for free. Anyway, I went to wal-mart to use some of my coupons. I bought some silk soy milk, a flashlight and a 18 oz bottle of tea for $2.21. My cashier was an older woman and she started to ask some questions about my coupons. She asked if I got them online, I told her yes and then she asked me if I would print some out for her..I was like huh? lol

Poor chipmunk. =/ This is partially one of the reasons my cats are indoor cats, not to mention its safer for them.

Coupons are awesome. I also bring sales ads with me to the store. I love to save money.
