Back on Track

Dear Me,

Okay, it's time to get back on track. You've stayed the same for too many weeks by staying on plan during the week and splurging on weekends. While it's great to maintain, it's not yet time to maintain!!!

I commit to staying on plan EVERY DAY.
I commit to meeting my excercise goals EVERY WEEK.

I am so happy that the sun is back and the snow is melting. I'm sick of working out in the gym, I'm really excited to excercise outside again. This weekend should be great, I'm going to take long walks and maybe even break out my dusty old bike!

I love getting Core menu ideas from others, so I thought I'd share my menu too.

B - Oatmeal, skim milk, banana

S - Apple

L- Tomato soup, veggies and dip, grilled cajun chicken

D - Crock pot roast (trimmed of all visible fat, of course)
Roasted potatoes (healthy oils)
Greek salad (1 pt for feta cheese + 2pts for extra oil)

S - Hot Chocolate or Hot Vanilla Milk

Tae Bo = 4 APs

Top 5 reasons I love Core

1. No counting points during my busy work week (I save my WPs for weekends, only use APs during the week and that I can do in my head)

2. Avocados

3. Bananas, I rarely ate them on Flex because of the whole 2 pts each thing.

4. Far less cravings for junk, it's funny how when you eat less junk, you want less junk.

5. The way it makes me feel healthier.

    Glad you're enjoying Core! I'm doing flex and to keep from feeling hungry I just choose foods with a lot of fiber and eat veggies (0 pts) and fruit for snacks most times. Core foods are really healthy so you shouldn't have any trouble dropping your weight. Congrats on your first blog entry, lol.

    LOL! Good for you! At first I thought you meant WW but then I thought you meant Core exercise (since I was not at WW website--have to remember where I am online LOL). Well you are on Core! I am on Flex on week 4. I find I am hungry a lot and trying to manage points etc..I workout a ton to eat and I know that is probably not the best thing but I do it anyway. I was considering Core (after Thanksgiving though)...my DH bday is next weekend, then Thanksgiving..so maybe after that... I forgot you could use APs and eat them on Core that rocks! Your plan sounds great (eat aps during week and flex pts on weekend)...Good luck to you!
