It's an emotional reaction from me - we are in the final phase of this part of our life. Our life in Puerto Rico where we've been living for the last 9 winters (6 - 8 months a year). We've become Puerto Rican citizens, have PR drivers licence and ID's and tons of friends (both Puerto Rican and Gringos), but now will be moving back to the states and to become residents of Florida.
When we moved here we started a small boat rental business with 5 boats. Now two are sold and gone, 1 will go today the other two are promised. Then our business of 9 years will be closed.
DD will arrive tomorrow to help us sell our excess in a garage sale. What doesn't sell we'll put on the sidewalk and it will be taken away by needy and not so needy people, but will be put to use.
We will mail personal possessions - mostly books and clothing - and on May 2 leave with our dog, and the maximum suitcases allowed on the plane.
We are not done tho. Our guesthouse has not sold. We have a summer manager to work at the guesthouse and we will continue to take reservations and tend to customers for it over internet and telephones. If it is not sold by November we'll be back to manage it, but will not have a vehicle, personal junk, etc. and not have the emotional move of this month.
We will not buy in FL until the GH is sold - tears are in our eyes, and excitment in our hearts and all the time - losing weight is on my mind!!!
Thank you for listening...
