Since I had success with a fall fitness challenge I did I decided to sign up for a winter one to lose 5% of my body weight. Our first assignments are to put down in writing our commitments.
~~~Winter 5% Challenge Exercise Commitments:
Cardio-Interval training with inclines walking on my treadmill, 3-4x/wk, 30-45 min
*Edited 1/5/14: Strength training-was going to do Chris Powell's fitness plan but will do my own training with my home equipment
~~~Winter 5% Challenge Diet Commitment:
Calorie cycling-using a modified version of Chris Powell's 'Choose to Lose,' like adding a fruit to my afternoon snacks on the low-carb days, I love my fruit!
Veggies at most meals;lunch, snacks, dinner, in form of salads I take to work and roasted veggies for dinner, hummus and baby carrots, red bell pepper
Water-10-12 cups daily
Avoiding as much as possible...sugar!! It's so addicting and though it gives me that temporary 'sugar-fix/high' I always feel crappy the next day.
