uh ... yes it is!

If you haven't seen the Muppet Movie ... do it! So much fun, and the songs are fabulous.

Okay. So, Day 2 of getting it together in the New Year. Going decently so far. Set up to do a 60 day program on the Kinect UFC Trainer and did Day 1. It has a program for me Sun, Mon, Wed, Thurs, and Sat, which means I can do yoga on Tues and Fri mornings.

I still need to get my running schedule back together, but I'm planning to mostly do that at school, and I don't go back until Monday. Then, I'm running at least Mon, Fri, and Sat, and maybe Wed.

My sister is being pretty good about eating. We made a nice cajun dish yesterday that was good for calories. Then even though we made dessert, it was a pretty low sugar chocolate whipped cream parfait with blueberries in cute little cups.

So, today is just another work-at-home-try-not-to-eat-too-much day. My sister and I will be making scones, but I'll find other people to help eat them.

Okay, time to get on with my day, I mean, it's almost 8am - time's a wastin'!

Sometimes When You're Alone

Wow, life's been nuts. Quick and easy version of what y'all missed.

- Semester finished fabulously, if terribly busy
- Spent two weeks on vacation with the family having fun but eating terribly
- Just got back and getting back on track

So, now for the upcoming.

- Gotta be in the office starting Monday, classes start 1/17
- Half-marathon 2/26

So, time to get things back on track and rolling. I'm already getting back into healthy eating this week with new groceries, no junk, and a month's worth of meals jotted down. My sister is visiting and wants to make some baked goods this week, but I'm good at giving those away.

I'm getting back into a full exercise schedule using UFC Trainer on the Kinect and getting my running back on. I've been reading Born to Run, and it's a really interesting book. Most of what I get out of it is that you should enjoy running, so I'm trying that. I may also do some new yoga foot strength exercises.

Okay, good start, so I'm off to do things. I'll be back though, really, I mean it this time!

Riding in the Name of Truth and Justice

So, I really, seriously need to get off sugar, again. I know, it's a continuing issue. So, the new and improved plan for getting off sugar is in place and it includes fresh whipped cream and strawberries which is the most delicious thing ever. I literally hand whipped fresh cream and then threw frozen strawberries into the magic bullet and stirred them into the cream and froze the mixture. No sugar added. So good.

I also need to stick with the very dark chocolate over all other candies. Mmm 75-86%!

I have been too busy and not getting enough done lately, so I finally mapped out the next two days worth of work I need to do in half-hour segments. Therefore, I'm completely scheduled, but I should be able to get things done. This is only getting written because I finished breakfast ten minutes early!

I did schedule in exercise, so I already did my strength training this morning. My weight is not coming down, but I did eat a ton of sugar in the past few days, so by tomorrow it should drop a bit.

I'll probably go the Yerba Mate route today because it's a good stimulant for getting work done and a slight appetite suppressant.

Okay, my time is up and I have to get ready for work and such. I need to go in a few minutes early and label some cat genitalia. Yup, I'm a biologist!

    I oughta try the strawberries and ONLY dark chocolate for sweets because I have a sugar problem too! How do you become a biologist? That's not you actual title is it?

    Ok, can't say my day includes such things as labeling genitalia -- LOL!

Good luck on the quest to banish surag. The whipped cream and skltrawberries frozen sounds WONDERFUL! I do something similar with whipped cream and mixed berries -- raspberries, blueberries and blackberries. Yummy!

It's Gonna Be the Future Soon

Hi again! Seriously, every time I think I'm going to have time to do things, like, you know, blog, not so much.

So, I ate a ton this weekend, again. However, I'm back to normal now. No matter how much I enjoy them, I always feel better without the carbs. It's such a never ending cycle of eating yummy carbs, feeling ehh, and then getting back on track. Someday I'll figure out how to skip that carb-eating step. Someday.

I've been pretty good about the exercise, right down to two days of DOMS after a lot of squats and lunges. Today is kickboxing.

I did good at my Pathfinder game yesterday, only two little snacks.

Okay, gotta plan an activity for class today!

Quick entry.

Item one: weight at 158.4 so that's good.

Item two: Busy weekend here, so hopefully I will move more than munch. Gotta also try and get some exercise in.

Alright. I'm heading off to shower, buy eggs, make breakfast, go to open house at the college, grade papers, write lectures, workout, cook, church, movie, pot luck, and folk concert.

Did I mention busy?
