So, getting closer and closer!

Progress on Project LTPBHM (Lose-Ten-Pounds-Before-the-Half-Marathon)
Starting weight: 168.4
Current weight: 159.8 finally busted the 160s!
Yesterday's Goals Accomplished: fasting
Days to go: 11!!!
Things to push me toward goal today: Limiting snacks, working out

I caught a quick cold on Saturday with a sore throat, and although the effects on me are minimal, I still feel them, so I'm leaning toward chilling out over pushing myself. Although, I did complete 12 miles on Sunday, but we walked the last 2. Still finished in a little over 2 1/2 hours. I should be set to rock the Half-marathon next Saturday, but I'm keeping the runs low end between now and then, nothing over 6 miles.

Anyway, gotta get myself caught up on school stuff since I got a bit behind last week, and then I can get caught up on everything else.

Now, I need to make a healthy lunch and breakfast and get on with my day!

More They Might Be Giants music: Canajoharie, which they didn't play this week, and yet it's still stuck in my head.

Progress on Project LTPBHM (Lose-Ten-Pounds-Before-the-Half-Marathon)
Starting weight: 168.4
Current weight: 160.4 third time at the same!
Yesterday's Goals Accomplished: fasting, no workout, yikes!
Days to go: 13 AHH!
Things to push me toward goal today: Eating right, meal planning, running, crunches

So, this week was CRAZY! Both Tuesday and Thursday night we drove 2 hours each way to go see They Might Be Giants with Jonathan Coulton opening, who are two of my husband and my favorite bands. Also, we are friends with the bass player for the opening act, so we hung out with him afterwards each time. Thurs night, he took up to a salsa bar and taught me to salsa. It was crazy. Did I mentioned that?

Anyway, it meant that two dinners, two evening workouts, and two morning workouts were completely messed up.

However, I now have two free and clear weeks before the half marathon with nothing really planned, so woohoo! Anyway, I'm 2 lbs away, I can totally do this.

Time to watch Eureka, plan some meals, and possibly visit a health fair at a local cider mill!

    Good for you! Salsa dancing (I've heard) is excellent exercise, so you should count it as that. And everybody needs to change it up every once in a while. Nice going.

Close Your Eyes, See What I See

The song is about Canajoharie, but I'm going to Ithaca tonight to see They Might Be Giants, Jonathan Coulton, and Brandon Patton, and I am super excited.

Current weight: 160.4 no change, but at least I didn't go up
Yesterday's Goals Accomplished: yoga, twice
Days to go: 18
Things to push me toward goal today: Kinect this morning, this evening is questionable since I'll be a couple hours away at a concert. Hopefully, that will keep me from munching!

I'm not sure why I didn't drop this morning since I'm post-fast, but there were potatoes in dinner, so maybe I'll just a bit water-retaining. Today needs to be more low-carb in general, so that might help. However, we might be eating dinner on the go. Oh well, I'll figure it out.

So, hopefully you all are staying strong through your insanity.

More Wicked. Hehe.

Progress on Project LTPBHM (Lose-Ten-Pounds-Before-the-Half-Marathon)
Starting weight: 168.4
Current weight: 160.4
Yesterday's Goals Accomplished: 10 mile run, woot!!
Days to go: 19
Things to push me toward goal today: I did some morning yoga already, and I will do a weight circuit this evening or biking, we'll see. Also, fasting today.

Yesterday's run was brutal since we haven't run more than 6 miles in over a month. Have to do 10 or 11 again next weekend though before dropping back to be prepared for the Oct 1st race. I found a really nice local running trail though, so that's awesome.

This week is going to be nuts because we are going to concerts Tues and Thurs and they are each two hours away. Yikes! Still, it's like the husband and my favorites musicians: They Might Be Giants and Jonathan Coulton, and we know the opening bass player. Just gotta keep moving and stay low carb to keep my energy up.

In general, I feel pretty awesome. The husband is not doing as fabulously, and actually, he got sick (threw up) about 30-45 min after the 10 mile run. Any runners out there have any ideas for him? I think that he didn't cool down and stretch well enough and he didn't put anything into his body except Vitamin Water right after the race. Next time, I think we'll bring a Clif Bar and I'll make him walk and stretch.

Okay, time to get to work, class in 20 minutes!

We went to two concerts a week ago. Luckily, they were on the weekend, Friday and Saturday night.

Too late for second guessing

... too late to go back to sleep, it's time to trust my instincts, close my eyes, and leap! It's time to try defying gravity.

I love Wicked. It's my 5th favorite musical after Rent, Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, and Jesus Christ Superstar, and just before Next to Normal.

I'm at 163 this morning, but today is going to be a ten mile run so that should help quite a lot.

Also, all my grocery store food shopping was done before 8am. I love living in a place with 24 hour grocery stores.

This week I'm going to two concerts each 2 hours away, so I'm going to be completely insane. Should be fun though!
