Progress on Project LTPBHM (Lose-Ten-Pounds-Before-the-Half-Marathon)
Starting weight: 168.4
Current weight: 163.6 (-4.8lbs)
Yesterday's Goals Accomplished: 2.5 mile run
Days to go: 36 (don't know what I was counting before!)
Things to push me toward goal today: morning yoga, healthy meals, evening strength training, cleaning and unpacking

Still unpacking. Still catching up on things. Having a blast in classes. Not using pronouns. We went to a local ice cream place yesterday where I ordered a small and got something huge! Still okay, just have to be good today and tomorrow and most of the weekend. I can do it!

Onward and upward!

I Wanna Fly Away

Update to Project LTPBHM (Lose-Ten-Pounds-Before-the-Half-Marathon)
Current weight: 165.8 (I love post-fast days!)
Yesterday's Goals Accomplished: 5 minutes evening strength training
Days to go: 31
Things to push me toward goal today: morning yoga, healthy meals, afternoon run, strength training

I did some unpacking this morning. I'm hoping to get the living room done by the end of the week and my office significantly improved. I think it will be easier to feel like I can exercise when I have floor space instead of boxes. I also need one more shelf for the kitchen to put my dehydrator, magic bullet, and steamer on.

Okay, today is my second day of teaching and it is going to be excellent! I hope you all have a great day too.

Onward and upward!

Running Down A Dream

Monday, August 22, 2011

So, I ran a 10K race yesterday. Came in at 1:06:22 which means close to 11 minutes miles. Since my half marathon was about 12 minute miles, that means I'm improving. Woot! The husband ran it as well - his longest race yet. He came in just about a minute ahead of me.

Of course, this was a "destination" race, as in, we weren't home, so we ate out all weekend. Yikes.

Now, I am beginning Project Lose-Ten-Pounds-Before-the-Half-Marathon. LTPBHM for short.
Current weight: 168.4
Days to go: 32

Things to push me toward goal today: it's a fast day until dinner and I will restart my strength training tonight

Okay, now I have to go teach my first day of classes!

Onward and upward!

A Whiter Shade of Pale

Friday, August 19, 2011

Good early morning! I've heard my title song about 4 times in the last three days. Good thing it's a favorite. Especially that beginning organ bit!

Weight: 165.8

We kind of ended up at Applebees last night, but I did get one of the weight watcher's salads ... and the potato twisters to start. Now we're going out of town again today through Sunday. At least I'm running a 10K on Sunday!

Okay, gotta run because I'm going into work early to get stuff done so we can leave here in the afternoon for our weekend out.

Onward and Upward

Open the Gates and Seize the Day

Thursday, August 18, 2011

Ummm ... hi! Yeah, it's been a while. First camp ate my life, although it was awesome! But then, I moved, so that ate the rest of my life. Speaking of eating, I've been doing far too much of that lately. Although, this morning I was at 164.5, so not too bad!

Things coming up:
Running a 10K on Sunday
Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon 10/1

Trying to get my healthy habits back on track. It will happen.

Hoping to getting back to blogging, even if it's just a little bit.

Onward and upward!

This title makes me want to sing... "don't be afraid and don't delay, nothing can break us, no one can make us, give our rights away, arise and sieze the day!" hehe
