... giving up makes it permanent.
Today I'm not terribly defeated, but I should keep this in mind since there are still cupcakes at home. If I have a few, ok, if I eat more than I planned, okay but don't use it as an excuse to go all and crazy! I have to at least try and maintain through Sat., and then be really good on Sun for Monday weigh-in. Since we are going out to dinner Fri and Sat and out to breakfast Sun, this could be tough.
Anyway, I'm at work right now doing my blog entry early. I have a turkey in the crockpot at home with some potatoes, and tonight I am going to make my sister's Princess Aurora Halloween costume, or at least a good chunk of it. That should keep me busy and away from cupcakes.
I also need to get in some aerobic exercise tonight, I don't know if my husband will want to walk or not. If not, I have a stationary bike for a reason!
Ok, I should stop procrastinating and work during my last half hour at work. Bye all!

Today: 100% on up until dinner then some cupcakes. I ate them mostly around my workout though, so I hope to use them to build muscle!
Onward through tomorrow!

,,, think of the person who planted the tree.
I had some blueberries for snack and a peach with dinner. Both were local, so my people who planted the tree were local.
My sister has been very good about the fact that I'm low-carbing. I made an awesome Cobb salad for dinner, it was pretty and striped and everything. It also had 6 protein sources: ham, chicken, bacon, chickpeas, boiled egg, and feta.
Then I went walking with my husband, no sister there though.
However, my sister did share a brie and some dark chocolate with me, and I had a peach with mine and she had crackers. It was enjoyable.

So, this weekend didn't go exactly to plan. Actually, only one thing really went wrong: chocolate, and lots of it. There is a Hershey store in NYC, yeah, we went there.
I did do a bunch of things well though! I took small bites, I ate slowly, and I never once felt stuffed or really "full". I probably still went past satisfied, but never made it to full. The old me would eat all my food plus everyone else's until I was stuffed, so, improvement!
Today is back on track, back on low carb for 2-3 days, and back to serious exercise. It felt good. I think that's the best part of getting off diet in planned ways, I feel really, really energized to get back on!
My weight is up a few pounds today, but in two days when the water weight is gone, I'll see if I did any actual damage.
Until then, I'm working, smiling, and going to have a low-carb snack of nuts and cottage cheese, although since I just did a tough workout I may add a peach and some blueberries as well!

... easy to get into, but hard to get out of.
My bad habit is still chocolate. I only had 3-4 pieces today. It's tough. I really love chocolate. I need to make a sugar free chocolate syrup to add to my desserts. I've tried cold turkey before, by the way, and the cravings get so bad I devour whole chocolate bars. It's not the sweetness either because I only really love dark chocolate, preferably 75-85%.
Today, however, I rocked my on-trackness other than the chocolate. I served my husband spaghetti and me zucchini. I did higher levels on my biking intervals than I ever have before and I did an extra superset of each set of exercises in my turbulence training. I also did a headstand against the wall!
This is good, because the scale has decided to creep back up in the last two days, and so reaching lots of fitness milestones reminds me that it isn't the scale I'm working for.
Ok. This weekend is going to be all eating out, lunch and dinner tomorrow and all meals on Sunday. My goal is tiny bites and smaller portions, but other wise enjoy myself. Tomorrow, I'm also going to aim for low carb, but Sunday I'm going to an Italian place in NYC with Gluten-free pasta ... and I intend to have some!
