Grocery Shopping!!!

Wednesday, January 05, 2011

OK, I was SOOOO proud of myself yesterday. I looked up a week's worth of recipes and printed them out. I went to the grocery store and only bought the items on the ingredients lists and some healthy snacks. I look forward to making a nice, healthy new recipe tonight. :-)

Thats great I like to organize my grocery list by sections (meat, veggie, freezer items) and days of the week meals. Did you find healthy recipes that are kid friendly and simple? I'm looking online for recipes myself

2 Goals completed in one day!

Wednesday, April 02, 2008

So I finally am under 200 pounds. Today I weighed in at 199. :-) Also, I got my braces on today. That should help me lose faster since I have food restrictions. Who can say they accomplished two goals in the same day? Me, me, me!!!!!!!!!

    Isn't 199 a beautiful number???

Congrats on the braces too. I know there are lots of restrictions, but it will be worth it in the end!

I'm BACK!!!

Thursday, December 20, 2007

So the first blog I just wrote didn't show, so I'll try again. This time I'll copy it before I submit. AHHHHHH!

So here goes. I fell off the wagon, but am back on. My downfall is letting stress divert me from proper eating and exercising. I was so stressed and busy that I didn't care about what I was eating and I didn't workout. Now I can see the effects of that and am not pleased with myself.

But, I got a new position in a building with a gym. I plan to go everyday for at least 30 minutes with a co-worker and would also like to go a few days a week after work for more time. Plus I want to get back into the habit of doing my crunches at home on my ball and doing some exercises with my free weights every night.

I am going on a cruise in February and don't want to look the way I do now. So it's back to the grind of this. I know I can do it, I just need to keep my focus.

I also started logging my food in again today. It helped me stay on track so well last time. It helps me see what I'm putting into my body and where changing small things makes a big difference. Like changing my sandwich topping of cheese to no cheese or fat free cheese since a regular slice carries 100+ calories in it.

I guess I need to delete my old goals since I've passed some of them and not accomplished any of them. But I think I'll leave them there for a little while longer so I can see where I would have been if I stayed on task.

Congrats on getting back on track! Sometime it takes awhile to really get going, but you have to keep at it and you are doing that! I'm going on a cruise in March, it is good incentive!

I'm BACK!!!!

Thursday, December 20, 2007

So I fell off the wagon, but I'm back! I know I need to learn to not let stress effect my eating and exercise habits because that's what happened this time. I got super busy and super stressed and WHAMMO! my weight came right back. But I got a new position at work in a different building that has a gym. I went yesterday and did 15 minutes on the elliptical machine. I will be doing more but I only had a short time to workout yesterday. I'm thinking I'll go with a co-worker everyday for 30 minutes and go after work a few days a week. If I do some exercise at home with my ball and hand weights, I should be fine!

I am going on a cruise in February and don't want to look like I do now.

I logged my food in today so far and am glad because it's a big wakeup call. I know I have eaten enough carbs today already but was glad to see that I still have room for dinner. In the future, I'll either skip the cheese on my sandwiches or have some fat free cheese on hand since the only slice I had today had 100+ calories in it, YUCK!!!

VERY WEIRD, this was not showing up and now it's here. Oh well, I'll leave both for now!
