So, regular reader will know that last week was VERY busy for me. Eating was not a top priority and I was not coming even close to eating my calories. This is often an issue for me, but not usually for an entire week (week and a half). I increased my exercise by alot and did not see any movement on the scale last week. I was kind of disappointed since I was having so much more activity I felt I should be seeing some improvement on the scale. Well, on Thursday I ate! It was time for dinner and I still had something like 800 calories to hit even the minimum requirement. My daughter wanted quesadillas for her birthday so I used two tortillas instead of the one I usually use, I piled on the cheese and I grilled half an onion. I tried hard and I reached my calories! Friday, I reached my calories! Saturday, I ate one cupcake, I ate tacos with soft tortillas and lots of lettuce, tomatoes and onions! I reached my calories! When I got on the scale this morning-I had lost over two pounds!!!! WoooHooo! I saw improvement! If anyone questions the benefit of eating AT LEAST the minimum recommended calories I can say-EAT YOUR CALORIES!! Starvation does not equal healthy weight loss! Eat your calories, eat healthily, exercise and you WILL see improvement-it might take a little while to show up, but you will see results!! Today, I wrote out a schedule for the week, I'm a planner, I can't help it, it's what I do. The schedule includes walking my daughter to Kindergarten Camp and walking to pick her up, it includes, yoga, strength training and cardio. It also includes Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner!! I finally got it!! I'm scheduling my meals from now on and trying better to get my calories!! Oh, and some of you are probably asking what the heck is Kindergarten Camp-it is a week long program for children who will be starting Kindergarten in August, basically it is Kindergarten on an even more relaxed level to introduce the kids to the Kindergarten rules and concepts. My daughter has been talking about it since April! She is so excited, I hope she sleeps tonight! I'm excited too!! Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday!

Yea!! Daughter's party was a huge success. The kids all had a great time. There was no cake left over (Big HURRAH-nothing left to tempt me). My daughter loved every gift and now my life can return to normal. The tinkerbell skirts were a hit and so were the Peter Pan hats. All my hard work paid off. Now I just have to start gearing up for the next one in August!! For a little while though I get to return to normal. One big plus from this party is I had to rearrange the living room to make room for craft tables and I love the new arrangement! There is more room and it will make exercising easier! I won't be bumping into things as I move around! So glad life is back to "normal" so I can get back to my routines! Well, I am exhausted so I will sign off and see you all tomorrow!

Son and his teacher. So, yesterday was just aweful and I wasn't sure today would be better, but so far so good! Son had his graduation, it was nice-he looked so cute! Our school just does "dress-up" for k-grad, gowns are worn for thier pics but not for the ceremony, so son was wearing his church clothes and tie. So, handsome. After we went to Cold Stone for ice cream. Only, silly me, forgot to check what time they actually open! At 10:00 we are standing outside a store not scheduled to open until 11:00 so Grandma and all of us are standing there trying to decide what to do now. McD's is close and a Baskin Robbins is a few miles away. And then the door opens and this very nice young man says "Do you need anything?" We say we were coming to get ice cream to celebrate graduation and a birthday, but you aren't due to open for an hour. He says "well, since it is a special occasion I can open early." And he lets us in and dishes up our ice cream!!! I never would have expected him to do that!! Not many merchants open thier store and serve customers an hour ahead of time!! He made my day!! We thanked him profusely, but he probably still doesn't understand how much it meant to me. My kids were the ones who picked Cold Stone and would probably have been happy somewhere else, but still disappointed. They didn't have the lemon sorbet I wanted, but they did have a really good Strawberry, Mango, Banana Sorbet. So I stuck to sorbet instead of the fat laden Cheesecake Ice Cream with Grahamcrackers and Cherries that I might have ordered otherwise!!! And, I already finished son's teacher's gift-a handstrung bracelet of green glass beads and silver flowers!! So far a good day! Picks of son at graduation...
