Back to using more detailed trackers....

Thursday, March 22, 2012

I've decided that the quick trackers make it way too easy for me to just not track anything... and then i slowly stopped paying attention to what/how much i was eating. I know I have issues with just blowing off the rest of a day if I can not easily track food, such as when others are cooking or i am eating out.... but not sure what the easiest way to deal with it is.... but I am coming to realize that solving this problem is the key to me losing weight much more easily/efficiently.

Almost one year on SP

Thursday, March 15, 2012

A lot has happened in a year, both good and bad. I am frustrated that I did not lose the weight I wanted to... only a bit over 30 pounds so far. I hope to have hit that 35 pounds lost mark by my actual one year anniversary on here, but who knows. I have 9 days until then.

A bunch of rl friends are working on losing weight and have created a group on fb, of which I have been left out of/excluded from. It is frustrating, but I can't wait to see the looks on their faces as I am dropping clothing sizes and pounds. I have found working out is actually kinda fun, much more fun than dealing with all of the scientific writing that is piled up waiting for me to do.

Giving the quick track a try vs continuing to try and use the detailed tracking.

Monday, February 06, 2012

I'm going to give the quick track a try. In general, I know if i've ate too much and what is healthy and not.... but i get frustrated and end up saying to heck with the detailed tracking if i'm not sure how many calories something is and then end up doing no tracking at all.. I'm thinking that if i use the quick track, it will help me to make sure i'm getting in enough of the healthy foods and also that i'm working out/moving enough. I will give it a try a few weeks and see if i have better success than the detailed tracking. :)

Positive Momentum

Wednesday, November 09, 2011

Gaining positive momentum can be a slow process... but it is starting to accumulate. :) Starting with a couple successful dinners out with friends, to adding in a few workouts, to cleaning my kitchen.... finally, I feel like I have some positive momentum again.

I'm also excited for the Winter Challenge to start tomorrow! Hopefully this provides more positive momentum for the winter/holiday season to come. :)

Doesn't matter how slow it might happen as long as you keep it up!!

Trying to start blogging more frequently

Thursday, September 22, 2011

I'm going to start blogging more frequently, say maybe 5 outta 7 days. I get busy with lab and writing and then end up putting off/blowing off important things such as working out, checking SP blogs, checking in in the team I am a co-leader for. Blogging more frequently will help keep me accountable and more motivated. :)

That's a good goal. I get caught up in doing everything else and don't take the time to air my mind. I'm sure school keeps you busy.
