Moving!

Today was spent on the road, meeting old neighbors and finding a new place to live. It was exciting and fulfilling. I didn't make the best choices today, lunch out. However, I made much better choice for dinner. I am so exhausted and must get to bed as 6 am work start time doesn't allow for much sleep! Tomorrow I will be able to get in some more exercise!

Moving!

Blog today about the most common excuses that get in the way of your workouts--and plan to counter each excuse to stay on track!

My most common excuse is that I don't want to get out of bed to do a morning workout, which I know works best for me. By afternoon, I am tired and worn out!

My plan to counter this excuse?

1) Start going to bed no later than 10 pm so I will be more apt to get up in the am.
2) I like getting my cardio out of the way right away as it makes me feel great and takes the stress of additional worry about getting it done off my shoulders.
3) Also helps w/ my glucose levels.
4) It will allow me to reduce my medication and therefore save me money!

Thank you both! ILOVEDUANE - I was never a morning person but I found that when I worked out right away, I was a lot more consistent and it worked for me. My problem is getting back into it. It is a matter of "how important for me" so I do need to make it a priority. Report Inappropriate Comment

Good thoughts. I have the same problem in the morning (hate mornings!). My kids are similar too. School is going to be really hard to get into this year. We've fallen into some bad habits. But then, I think, is it bad habits or just what works best for us? I really do not function well in the morning! It is just who I am and I think forcing something out of me that isn't me is maybe not the way to go. Anyway, I off-roaded on you a bit. Keep it up! Report Inappropriate Comment

So I finally get up early enough and the weather was cool enough to take a 30 minute walk outside. It looked like rain, but I decided to brave it anyway. I was almost done with my walk, perhaps 5-10 minutes left when the sky boomed and lit up the morning. Looking up, I walked faster and am sure I burned more calories trying to make it home before the sky opened up. I imagine it my higher power encouraging me! At least that is what I choose to believe!

Coincidence?

This morning I started my beginning page to my new scrapbook journal and this is what I wrote. “If I had a “totem” flower, it would be a rose and right now I am closed tight protecting my self against the outside forces that threaten me. However, in order to experience all that life has to offer, I need to bloom and show myself and the world my true beauty within - only then will the outside match the inside.”
