Awesome backyard for me!

Today I went to explore my backyard...actually the lake that is less than a 10 minute walk from my new home. I went for an 80 minute walk on the beach, took lots of photos and just sat and let the negativity fall away from me while taking in the energy from the water. I absolutely made the right decision for my move. Now this walk on the beach was one heck of a workout in sand and rock, more resistance than a paved road or sidewalk.

I am still struggling w/ the eating and getting the points I need to make my goal, but I will definitely make an effort tonight.

I did more unpacking today in my kitchen and it should be done by tomorrow the latest! I also need to complete the unpacking of my office so I can decorate for fall/halloween/thanksgiving and submit my photos to my company to include in team spirit!

    You will enjoy your paradise! Take baby steps forward until you reach your goals..I was ready to give up the fight...then I lost 2 pounds..I just put down a bag of chips..I am determined to move forward too!

    What a beautiful view! Just take one day or even 1 meal / moment at a time if you need to. It's great that you are happy with your new move and when you're settled it will probably be easier to track your meals and points. You have a great attitude, I'm sure you're going to do fine. :)

One day at a time!

I am not doing well on my sparkpeople these last few days. Having my husband with me and unpacking is taking up a lot of my time, however in order to make this work. I need to start tracking again and meet my goal I set yesterday.

Today I found out that our town is working on a new recycling program and will be providing recycling cans free of charge! In addition, we found a place to take our cardboard boxes and we found out our banker is moving so we will be giving her some packing materials and boxes!

My craft/exercise room is getting there and my hallway library has its shelves back so I can start unpacking my books. All the big pieces are where they need to be, now it is getting to the next level. What do I love and want to have and what can I live without! Some of this stuff may find its way to Goodwill or Ebay!

I will definitely take a walk tomorrow after work! I need to get out, get some fresh air and explore my new neighborhood and the lake!

    It sounds like your making headway, when you're busy like you are it is really difficult to keep on top of everything and normally it's you time that suffers. Hope you get it all sorted very soon so you can have that time to yourself back.

    It feels as good as losing weight to release ownership of belongings. I believe in emotional eating and emotional owning.

    You are doing emoticon to me the important thing is that I exercise and eat right and drink water not that I log it..But if I am not making healthy choices, I force myself to track my food. (that is what works best for me)

New month, new beginnings!

This is a new beginning in more ways than one! I am in a new town, free to start over! It is an exciting time.

These are my October Goals:

1) 3500 points for the month of October on Sparkpeople. This will mean that I am following all aspects of the program, which I believe helps in all areas of my life - not just health.

2) Find a new doctor in my new city.

3) Recycle all of my moving boxes! Donate as much as possible to Goodwill as I unpack.

4) Goal for home is simplify! Less clutter, less cleaning, more me time!

5) Explore the lake!

6) Explore the bike trail - weather permitting.

7) Get finances back on track and redo budget according to new needs.

8) Find someone to give me my reward massage!

9) Re-evaluate these goals at the end of the month!

Didn't do much today...finally!

After running non-stop for days on end, it felt good to come home and relax for a couple of hours. I did go to the grocery store to restock some items and finally found the remote control tonight so I able to kick back and relax. I still have a lot to do, but for tonight.....Bedtime. Back to unpacking and more work tomorrow!

Slowly returning to normal...

I worked 4.5 hours yesterday before illness took over. I slept for a good portion of the afternoon and then went to get fast food because most of my food was still packed!

Yesterday I managed to unpack most of my kitchen and put a good portion of the food and eating utensils away so I can get back to a regular eating schedule!

Exercise will continue to be moving boxes and unpacking. There is no incentive to unpacking then unable to find the remotes to the tv!

I am still feeling a little funky so I am trying to rest between unpacking sessions.

Thank you all again for your support during this stressful period, it has helped more than you know!
