Countdown: 8 days

Sunday, September 16, 2012

Today's highlights:

Worked 10 hours.

Packed several boxes. Craft room nearly done! Also started on my office since I was in there over 10 hours today!

Sold 1 cabinet.

Visited Mom so she can go through my desktop with me. I tried to break it but she is putting it back together. Yeah Mom! It was nice to visit with her. Right now she lives a block away. After the move, she will be over 100 miles away.

Gave away some more stuff.

Visited w/ my daughter briefly - she came over to start her laundry...notice I said start...

My dog is getting used to life without a fence and to a cable tie, although she is pretty well trained that she will be ok without one if I am with her. We hope to build a large deck w/ a gate that she can sun herself outside by herself.

Tired because I was up so late last night, so will be heading to bed early tonight!

Countdown: 9 days

Sunday, September 16, 2012

I hate my computer. 5th attempt at typing this but my computer keeps deleting it so this will be very short as I need to go to bed.

Worked: 11 hours
Packed: 2 boxes
Visited: 4 brother-in-laws and 4 sister-in-laws & daughter who was embarrassed to be at a bar with her mom. My 2 youngest brothers play in a band so were here for one night only. It had been a while so decided that I will have to work harder tomorrow.
Fence: Gone (I will so miss you!)

Tomorrow:
Work: 10 hours
Sell: 1 cabinet
Pack more than 2 boxes.
Quit procrastinating and just do it!

Countdown: 10 days

Friday, September 14, 2012

What a day! 11 hours of work and I was able to finish paying September bills. After work it was time to start packing my craft room, but no.....

I see the guy that bought my privacy fence outside trying to dig out the posts which are cemented in. He was by himself, so I went outside and started digging around the posts. I was out there for an hour and did some other outside work. I did get in quit the workout, however I was exhausted! I can't do that again that tomorrow because it is getting too close to the move.

I have another 11 hour day tomorrow. I will work on my office while I am in there and will see what I can accomplish by the time I am off work.

Then craft room, after work....

I'm just recovering from my move last October. It's a bear! And, there's still unpacked stuff in the basement. I get to it box by box as I can. All the best to you!

Moving is overwhelming. One good thing about moving is the chance to declutter but boy is that a job! Decluttering feels as good as losing weight to me.

Level 16 already?

Thursday, September 13, 2012

Just passed to level 16 today! How cool is that. Today has had several highlights. First donated some items to our local homeless shelter and I think they will be receiving additional items soon.

Then sold our privacy fence and they started taking it down and only the post and a gate are left. How strange to look out my front door and see my neighbors.

My move is really happening. Brought another load to our new town and now it is down to finalizing the details. I really needed to just pack now. No time to really weed things out. If I had more time, but I don't. Doesn't mean I can't do it when I get up there and go through boxes. I will still try to get rid of some stuff though - if it is really obvious.

Two weeks from today I should be unpacking in my new home! Countdown: 11 days of packing left.

Tomorrow: Finish packing craft room and sell dresser.

I remember commenting on your last post. I really wanted to have a yard sale when I was in the midst of decluttering, but I thought I was relocating with no time to execute. That's why I donated everything. I was pretty surprised to find out how many groups need used clothes. That's pretty cool that you sold your fence! My sister has been a widow for about 5 years and she finally decluttered a storage shed and made $400 selling her husband's old tools that have been in storage for about 20n years at her yard sale. I hope you like your new home.

Moving Sale today.

Wednesday, September 12, 2012

So I need to work this morning and my poor husband and sister are standing in the rain trying to sell whatever we can have out. It is an outdoor sale! Only rain in days and I pick it to have our sale!

Regardless, nothing is coming back in the house. It will be donated or put on Craigs List! It felt good to get it out of the house and I have a feeling that even more will go as I continue to pack. Having trouble w/ the packing but as I only have 12 days after today, I had better start working on this. Especially since I can't get time off and have to work mandatory 5 hours overtime.

Wonderful way of expressing the pitfalls of selling ,moving etc...If you have clothes that you don't want to keep...you might consider donating them to a nursing home. Some patients have little money and no family...there may be one in your area

Hopefully, you'll get a lot of stuff sold despite the weather. Moving is such a struggle sometimes. Hope you're able to stay the course with your nutrition and fitness goals in the midst of this business.

I thought I was moving and I cleaned out layers of my life in my closet too. It is just as fulfilling as losing weight. I donated all of mine because I didn't think I had time for a yard sale. I could have used the money, but I also believe that my castoffs bless other people and therefore me. Happy sparking. I don't know how you do it and work too! Wow!
