So, after working way too much, and doing way too many other things, I have realized that my weight has suffered terribly! So, I guess it's time to drop some of those extras and get back to the weight loss focus. On the bright side, one of my dreams has always been to have my own gym at home. After one last piece comes in January, I'll have the full setup, right in my house!
Hopefully I can now really get back at it!

Sorry if my Spark Peeps have thoght I've disappeared! Let me take a moment to fill you all in on what's been going on!
I got a new dog, Tater. Pictures of him are on my blog and page. I went and adopted him from my local Friends For Animals. Until I adopted him, I didn't even know I had a Friends For Animals!! Later, I got a new boxer, Rocky. He's a rescue dog, with a hurt leg, and VERY skinny (my dream for me, but not so good on him! haha). I've spent a lot of time with them, taking them places, walks, etc.
I've also became very active in volunteering for the Friends For Animals. What a great way to keep myself busy on the weekends, stay active, and help all of the little animals! With dog walking, office work there, and weekend fundraiser activities, I'm not lazy anymore! I love it too. I feel like I have finally found my 'thing'. They seem to need the help so much there, and I love it. I love getting to play with all the little doggies (I've always been such a dog lover, just recently got a place to have my own). I wish I didn't work 45 hours a week at my day job so I could go there more! The people there are great also. Not only do they all have HUGE hearts, they're so interesting. We have the lonely people, the bikers, the gays (and they're awesome, they open their home to foster animals that the shelter doesn't have enough room for!), local band members, the partying crowd, the fun people, many different races, and many different types... I've learned that animal lovers take many forms!
This weekend, I'll be helping out with their fundraiser golf tournament. I've never been big on golf, except for the Wii (haha) but it's going to be great to get out there, see familiar faces, meet new people, and stay active, all for a great cause.
For the animal lovers out there, who are tired of being bored on the weekends (like I was), I would highly advise you to see if your county has a Friends for Animals. Most of them do, and start volunteering. It's very fullfilling.
Have a great Tuesday! *At least it's not Monday!*

So, this past week has felt like a month. I was off of work last Monday for Labor Day. It's so rare that I get a day off of work, that I just don't know what to do with my time. I plan for weekends, but not for days off. So, what did I do? I started the project from HELL! I decided to re-paint my bedroom. It was off to Lowe's to get paint and supplies. Got home and the project was started. I had NO idea how long this was going to take. Luckily, I have a very eager roommate who wanted to help.
So, we got most of the trim taped up on Monday, got plastic taped to the floor, and got one coat of paint on one side of the room. Then, magically, that boring day off was gone.
Tuesday, I worked all day, then it was back home to get started again. I realized there was a wall in my room that had two holes in it. Those holes were there when I bought the place, and was so puzzling, because you can tell that something had been installed there, but no clue what. I decided that it would be stupid to do all of this re-painting, but leave those two stupid holes. Off to Lowe's again, for a piece of drywall and supplies. By the time the new piece of wall was up, it was quitting time again.
Wednesday, PROGRESS! Finished getting the first coat on the rest of the room, got the second coat on the other half of the room that was done before.
Thursday, Finished with the second coat on the rest of the room, and did some touch-up.
Friday, worked all day, took the evening off to go to the Festival, where I walked my a$$ off and watched my favorite local band perform.
Saturday, it was back on it. Got the first & second coats of trim done on half of the room (the half where the bed goes, because I was so ready to sleep in MY bed again). Made plans to finish the entire room on Sunday.
SATURDAY NIGHT - bomb was dropped on me! I got a visit from my brother-in-law. He informed me that tomorrow, the day I was gonna finish my room, we had to split wood for both his house and mine for the winter. Well, there goes my plans for finishing up on Sunday. I guess I'll have to do it Monday.
Sunday, split / hauled the stupid wood, that I know I'll be thankful for this winter, when everybody's fussing about high heat bills, and I'm heating my entire house with wood for free! So, I guess it's back to work on my room tomorrow!
Monday - 3:30am: Puking, puking, and more puking. This goes on until Monday evening around 8:00. So, no work on the bedroom :(
Today - I really, really, hope I can get more done on my room this evening after work. If not, I'm throwing in the towel and hiring a painter to finish!!
Thanks to everybody who read my rant! Hope you all have a great day!

So.... The Tater and I have been going walking some. I decided to see how he liked a park near my house with water falls.
Turns out, he loves it! A friend had went with us. I turned back and was looking at her talking, when I turned around, I seen...
So, he came back out, and we started walking around some more, and again, I seen...
Apparently, the falls got the Tater's seal of approval. He loved the place, and I'm sure he wants to go back! I can only take him on bath days though, because when he gets out of that icky water, a bath is necessary! Guess we'll be sticking to dry walking places every other time!

So, I was driving around Saturday, and decided to stop by the local animal shelter, just to have a looksie, and ended up walking out with a puppy.
This is him in the car on the way home, happy already!
After I got him home, he sure did seem to enjoy his toys a lot!
Then he played a lot, until he was completely wiped out!
He slept all night, then was sooooo cute yesterday morning:
Then I decided to take him riding around with me and we went to Petsmart. He rides really well, except he LOVES to stick his head in front of the A/C and breathe into the vent.
I absolutely cannot imagine why anybody would abandon this awesome little creature! He's the best puppy I've ever seen so far, and already mostly house trained. I believe he's gonna be one really rotten tater, and a great walking buddy!
