New Year

I've decided to focus more on toning. I'm going to add more JM strength DVD to my routine. Now that Christmas is done, I'm hoping to get back to a more steady pace of working out. I've been hit and miss the past few weeks. I'm curious as to how great I can get my arms looking given I remain consistent with strength training. Since I started working out more with weights, it didn't seem to take very long to see a little difference and more definition in my arms. I'm hoping that if I work in the killer "No More Trouble Zones" DVD each week by Jillian, within a month or two, I'll really be able to see a difference.

I worked it tonight using five pound weights... OUCH. But I know I got in a good workout. After a few reps on some of the moves, I couldn't muster up the strength to keep correct form so I know that's a good thing. It means my muscles are working to fatigue.

I'll keep on for the next few weeks and see how it looks. :D

Also, hubby got me a elliptical machine for Christmas like I asked and I also received a workout mat I requested from my Step Mother in Law so YAY! I love the elliptical for sure! I do run/walk/elliptical intervals and it really gets me tired. :D

Crazy Week

It's been a crazy week.

Long story short... plumbing issues with the house, mouse in the wall, and puppy waking us up at 4 am every morning...

It's been stressful.

Finally tackled the plumbing issue and was able to do a quick treadmill walk. Now have to catch up on the four baskets of laundry that have been waiting so I couldn't invest too much time into my workout tonight.

Hoping to pick up strong come tomorrow.

Now, onto fixing the last two issues... mouse and whiny dog... should be fun!

  


Routine Day Changes

Changing my days to include workouts on the weekends. I choose Friday night as painting days whenever I take a class so I need to just go ahead and change my Spark page to better reflect what I'm capable of doing. :) Still running - back on my own again, my partner had to quit. Still working out- feels good.

Not super focused on dropping any more weight per se, but I do still attempt to make good food choices and hopefully I can lose another few in the process. We shall see!! As of today, I'm 125. If I can get to 119, good, if not, no worries. I'm healthy, happy and mostly okay with how I am. :)

Wednesday: Rest
Thursday: Run Intervals
Friday: Rest

Trying to get it back...

So I did start back with cardio Wednesday like I wanted... and I did a three mile run with Heidi Thursday... but Friday came and I got busy/lazy/tired again... so, here we are, three days later and still slacking on the workouts.

I'm determined to get back into my routine tonight. No excuses! I'm also going to eat better... I tanked ALL weekend... and all the while, I knew I was tanking and just kept going with it. I have that mindset sometimes that once I make a bad choice, I might as well get in all the bad choices I can because starting the next day, there will be no excuses for it. :|

No good.

Anyway, today, back on track... it's going to be great.

Vacation coming up in September... gotta get myself beach ready... and not just on the outside! I'm more amped to be in a good mindset when we leave so that I can enjoy my vacation. And when I feel good about the choices I'm making for food and fitness, I feel good about being in my own skin.

New Puppy

We just got a new puppy Friday and I've been so busy with her that I haven't worked out since the Thursday before. I'm exhausted!

My plan is to get back on track tonight starting with a Cardio workout even though, tonight is my usual "off" night since I reworked my schedule.

It will feel great to be back into a routine!

Puppies are tons of fun but a lot of work too!

    Puppy will give you a workout!.. My sister-in-law got a puppy last month.. she's running around after him all day!..

    congrats on the puppy! What kind of dog is he/she? I never had a dog but I hear they are a lot of work but the joy and happiness they bring is all worth it!

Just think of the walks with the puppy count as cardio!
