Excercise without diet = Nothing

Saturday, January 16, 2010

I have been excercising 1 hour every day for over a year. You cannot lose weight doing this.
Sure it is 1/2 the puzzle but with no clear diet plan you will NOT lose weight. I am basically the same weight as when I started.
So here it goes, the diet, the calorie counting, the logging of all food, with the addition of some strength training. Lets see what happens now.

It all goes hand in hand. Plus, we aren't to do strength exercises everyday, we need a day in between to heal according to SP. Plus, we need to eat healthy.

i have found i can maintain my weight loss by excercising. it also prevents me from eating when i am not hungry.

However, unless you have a metabolic disorder, a healthy diet is also important to loss weight. I had a trainer that said he has seen people work out for hours a day, but when if they are not eating properly, they will not get to their ideal weight.

i find to if i record what i eat (with the quantity) I make better choices. Doing the 2 together made it possible to lose 30 lbs. i've kept in off for a year. i look forward to putting in the effart to watch the diet better to see if that will help me to get to my final goal.

Do you have someone in your life that has changed who you are for the better?

Tuesday, June 23, 2009

Do you have someone in your life that has changed who you are for the better?
Is there someone who you strive to emulate?
Someone who's life course has your deepest respect.
A person who makes you sit down and rethink your goals.
Who's very presence makes you joyful.
The kind of person who you know sleeps at night knowing they have done everything they could to make this world a better place.
Someone who tells a joke and makes you laugh out loud.
The kind of person who can take their life lessons and tell them over time to you in a story that unfolds in a fashion that leaves you really loving them even more than you did before.
A person who every time you spend time with them makes you want to live as long as you can, in hopes you can experience some of the joys in life they have shared with you.
I know such a women and her name is Evelyn and she is my best friend.

Mine cant be just one person anymore; my life is too complicated. Suffice it to say they are all around the world and alot of them I have the pleasure to talk with in one form or another. Take it as a complement; you are among them, Ingrid. Your tribute is wonderful. Hugs Agape, Laurie

I am blessed to have had several people in my life like Evelyn. Some are now awaiting resurrection. Seems as though Jehovah has always had a relay going of people to offer me love, support, encouragement and companionship. Thank you for reminding me of how precious these friendships are and that I certainly should let my friends know how much I appreciate them.

emoticonMy beautiful best friend died several years ago. This tribute brought tears to my eyes because Gloria is not with me for this journey and others. She helped me become a better person . How to serve Jehovah , to share my good and bad times. I am so looking forward to see her again. Healthy and perfect. Not in pain and suffering.

I am so grateful for all the brotherhood of friends that I have around the world and that one day I will get to know all of them and have a SPECIAL friendship once again. I am thankful to serve a HAPPY God. JEHOVAH IS A GOD OF LOVE.

Thank you for sharing your friend.

Hmmmm - I think that person for me would be my Uncle Peter. One conversation with him and I just want to drop everything and pioneer. He is so sweet - I made sure he said the prayer at my wedding.

I started in 2009 also...and have had a net loss of a few lbs that stay off...slowly working my way down I guess, not like these folks who lose 100 lbs in a year. I have been up and down along the way...actual loss is probably more like 20 lbs..which would put me nearly to my goal if I had kept them all off. Figures..BUT...I am MUCH healthier now than I was then...and I am much more KNOWLEDGEABLE now than I was then...and I have made some wonderful SPARKFRIENDS that I didn't know the net is still GREAT results...albeit not quite the results I am aiming for. lol

Wishing you success on your journey.
