the transitions program

Tuesday, August 24, 2010

Went to hear about this today. it seems you eat the same stuff as the GI diet, but with experts to teach nutrition and healthy eating and an exercise program 12 week course is
$ 800.00

Does any of you know more or have you tried this?
$800.00 seems a bit steep, since we get spark advise and food suggestions for free?

    Morning all, i thought it was too much money and for something we get for free here at sparks.Just wondering what the difference was, and it seems very close to the GI diet?

    I would think that the "magic" about it would be that since you pay so much you will be extra motivated to succeed... saying that I realise that my own renewed miotvation comes from the support and accountability I get from the eating disorder clinic – as I have a meeting with them in two weeks I want to "be good" hat is to show them a food journal that shows progress. I aso know that they will srrenghten me with knowledge and support.
You will probably get the same from the transition program - I have understood it as a healthy program without extreme ideas. If you have the money and the time required and feel that you need more than internet support through spark people – try it. THen is the question what you will do afterwards when the course is over?

    Maybe it is just a few pounds higher from salt... that happens too... Me I am not really losing or gaining but it I put anything in my short's pockets besides keys like too much money change my pants fall off so something must be happening. emoticon

    I am impressed that you reach your goal - I always fall off before that... therefore my advice would not be any good - what do you think happens when you stop caring and start eating? For me I think my brain is hijacked by my disease compulsive overeating and I am trying to figure out a way to get around it..

    Oh, Honey! I know how you feel! Been there, done that. The only thing you can do is pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start again!

    Lots of walking there! I love the Lincoln memorial the best also. I wish I could have seen more on feet but I was not quite up to the task of all that walking. I am hoping when I lose the weight I will go back and be able to do it all.

Enjoy DC :)

    LOVE DC! Love how everything is free. Go up the Washington monument! It's breathtaking and you get an amazing view. Hubby is from there so we go every yr or so. Love it! Ford's theater was my favorite.
