Hello sparkpeople! So, I had some things going on in my life that got me completely off track, but I have found my way back here in the hopes of getting back on the weight loss wagon. It's been over a year since I have done any tracking, so I am getting back to it and so far it has gone well. I still need to get motivated about the gym or getting some type of exercise, but I'm taking it one step at a time. I really want to get back into shape. I read my past blog posts and I'm optimistic about feeling that energy again. I can do it! I am back!

  


Weight loss update

February was not kind to me. I was sick for half the month, thus unable to give it my all at the gym, so I didn't lose anything....boo! But, I didn't gain anything either...Yay! So far for March I have lost 3 more pounds, putting me at a total of 13lbs. This makes me very happy. I haven't been in the 180s in over a year! This just fuels my fire even more...I'm doing it and it makes me happy.

Sick and exercise

There is nothing I hate more than being sick. I woke up yesterday with a stuffy nose....boo! I went to the gym and did my workout and felt great. Today, I woke up with not only a stuffy nose, but a scratchy throat and stuffed up ears. I need to go to the gym today, but my body really is saying no. Does anyone else ever have this problem? What do you do? do you go? Do you stay home and rest? I'm going to go, but am curious how everyone else gets through it.

  It is better to take rest if need it. I have often exercised with high fever at home and even though I was OK,I do not recommend it. I hope I am wiser now. There is always tomorrow as long as you go back to your routine as soon as feel a little better. emoticon

Kicking the New Years Butt

I've been doing so great! It helps a lot to have a workout buddy. Tyne and I have been at it since January 1st and we are still going strong! I've lost 7lbs so far this month and I'm hoping to up it to 10 before we hit February. Sparkpeople.com helps so much with the food and fitness logs and recipes. I really don't think I would be doing this well without it!
