training

Friday, April 20, 2012

i applied for a trainer position work and was never interviewed because the form has yes/no questions and i did not have 3 full years of experience training adult learners. So the system kicked out my application as not being a qualified applicant. However the manager and training director know me so they looked over my application and talked to my supervisor. They want to give me a change to do some more on the job experience as a trainer. I was sent some information and asked to put it together for other agents. my sup and training director then reviewed it.

so that kind of excites my a bit.

tried giving blood today. this time neither of the phlebotomists wanted to try. i chug water most of the day, but for some reason my veins are tiny. they struggle to find them and sometimes they can only find the ones that are smaller then the needle. another donor listening to them talking about the problems if they miss my vein started to get squimish. when they made the comment about not wanting to cause a tissue clot, i though that lady would jump off the bus.

i enjoy giving blood but i am glad they didn't risk causing the damage to my veines/arms again. the last 2 times i had bruises on both arms for about a week

I'm with you on the "tiny vein" syndrome. I also employ all of RitziBrown's methods, exept I should implement a 2-tries rule. When I went in for my last surgery, the nurses were unable to get an IV going, as they couldn't find a vein, and said the ones they can see have been "overused." I didn't know what that meant. Then they got the needle in, and a few minutes later it felt like my arm was on fire. They said "oh, we've blown out the vein." Uh, what??? They went ahead and wheeled me into the operating room, and kept trying. I was probably poked seven or eight times, unsuccessfully. Finally the anesthesiologist took pity on me, and put me out while they kept sticking me. Tiny veins are a curse! I always had the bruising too. My doctor told me that it's a result of being told to press your lower arm against your upper arm. It makes the blood pool. Now when I have blood taken I don't do that, and it's really helping to avoid bruising.

I hope your next donation goes smoothly, and I want to add my thanks for you being a donor.

You are to be commended for being a blood donor! I understand small veins, though mine are not as small as yours. For health reasons, my blood has been checked anywhere from daily to once every 3 months (that's when I'm doing very well:-)) I have a 2 hit rule - if they don't get blood in 2 tries I'll come back. In addition to being well hydrated, I have found it beneficial if a. a butterfly set-up is used, b. that I'm warm & relaxed & c. I don't look. I'm not particularly squeamish but, maybe, it takes the pressure off the phlebotomists & me??!!
Good luck on future donations & thank you again for being a donor!

How much do you think what we put into our bodies effects attitudes? 10%, 20% 30%...perhaps 50%??? No...a lot more than that.

Unless our diet has always consisted of fresh raw fruits, vegies, nuts and seeds and we haven't had a bout with cigarettes, booze, recreational and medical drugs, our bodies are filled with toxicity. This toxicity messes with our bodies and our emotions.

When we clean up our diets as a primary step to health we stop having bad moods and tempermental issues. When we do a fast of some sort it enables our bodies to release past indiscretions and toxins and we all of a sudden feel right with the world. Amazing!

Clean up your diet, clean up your emotions...it's as simple as that. Processed phakephood effects more than our weight and physical health.
