Prayer, Faith and Love

Thursday, March 05, 2009

"Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you." (Matthew 7:7)

How many times have we asked? Have we tried seeking for Him? I mean, serious search... When we found Him, have we knocked?

This Lenten 2009, we both seek spiritual and physical health. We aim of returning to God the borrowed gifts, our body and soul, at its best. How do we do that?

SP helped me not only with the healthy choices for the best of my body. I still have yet to attain it. SP has also helped me gain many friends... I may not have met them personally but I believe with faith that one day, Jesus will make us meet. The initial step I have made to gain a healthy body is coming back to SP after bidding farewell sometime in 2007. Coming back in a different mode with a sincere thought of nurturing my faith through prayers and friendships. My SP friends motivated me to increase my disciplines of thought and success.

At Catholic Critters, we pray together, in faith and in love. United, we take control of all the temptations of sin especially of the unhealthy choices in life. In prayer, faith and love, guided by Jesus Christ through our Mother Mary, we clasp our hands to reach out to the many that having a healthy body and soul, we can become successful in spreading His Gospel.

I am grateful to all our members who are doing their best to grow in faith and love.

In Catholic Critters, I met my special friend, Cheryl Jane, who I will meet sometime in the future. Our Mother Mary planned our meeting in SP and in 54-Day Rosary Novena thread. Through Mary, we share each other the many coincidences, likes, prayers, weight goals, number of children, hobbies and even age. Mushroom is the only difference! In knowing her, I came across many signs in prayer and in faith... And, she is aware of them. Thank you, Cheryl Jane. I received many signs this past weeks that we will meet each other soon, VERY SOON! Our families can play together in the parks and we can gaze the sky and count the stars without fear... we will stare at the moon and tell stories to our children. We can ride bikes as long as we can... yes, during summertime... and on the not so cold weathers.

In love with our families, in complete trust in God, we pray that our SP goals and meetings with the rest of its members will bring us our ultimate goal and thereby meet God in His glory... in His time.

I ask God for friends, and He gave me many. I seek for His presence and I found Him in my these friends. I knocked, and He showed me His heart FULL OF LOVE.

This is a beautiful expression of love of the Lord & the Blessed Mother. You speak from the heart in very touching well written words of encouragement. I felt drawn to read this blog entry because of the title as faith, hope & love are the virtues I always pray for on the 1st, 2nd & 3rd Aves when praying the rosary. My SparkPage statement carries this theme. Please visit my Page anytime.
Thank you for your faithful leadership in the 54-day novenas. They are so meaningful to those praying & those being prayed for.
And I'm curious, what country are you living in?
May God grant you many blessings & an abundance of peace.

Hello my friend. I just saw this blog and had to read it when I saw the title.
I had no idea I would be mentioned in it!
I feel the same, though.
I feel very blessed to have found you and to be sharing such a unique, international, pen-pal friendship with you!

54-Day Rosary Novena

Tuesday, September 09, 2008

In one of the threads of Catholic Critters group, we formed the 54-Day Rosary Novena. We are now on our second novena which we commenced yesterday, 08th September, the feast of our Blessed Mother's Nativity. I felt very happy and blessed to have discovered the many faithfuls who want to pray the novena especially in these times of global miseries and troubles. There are so many of us who need prayers but just hesitant to voice out the needs. Through this rosary novena, we are able to meditate on the life of Jesus and Mary and at the same time grow our faith, that in God everything is possible.

In this Catholic Critters thread, I am motivated to go on with my daily trials with one of them keeping fit and healthy for my family.

We are so blessed but most often we do not see because of pride.

The 54 day novena is a great commitment. The last time I attempted I fell asleep on day 54 during my rosary. I was, and still am sad about it. I haven't been keeping track of my rosaries, but you have made me consider tracking and beginning a new 54 day novena.

Feast of the Assumption

Friday, August 15, 2008

15 August, the Assumption. I consecrated myself to Mary. At the same time, offer everything of me to Jesus through her.

My husband gave me a very wonderful comment. "Mama, your thighs are getting smaller as well as your arms and tummy. You're doing great! Keep it UP!" How nice to hear!

God is with me to commit with the healthy life I'm aiming. I want to return to Him with the very the same healthy body He lend me.

I am so glad you are doing so well and your husband's affirmation is wonderful. I can't imagine life without the beautiful gift God gave us with the Sacrament of Marriage. He is being a wonderful partner in this journey.

Having a supportive and encouraging mate is a wonderful blessing - not only in this journey but in life... Kudos to your husband for being that partner to you and kudos to you for doing the work it takes to achieve your goals.

Smile, Jocelyn - you're on your way : )

Today, 21 July, I, IMMACULATEHEART, in the presence of SP members, is irrevocably committed to do and track my daily exercise activities and food calorie intake.

My sparkfriend inspiration, BEMORESTUBBORN, and my loving husband will be proud of me with my initial goal of 120 lbs. on 20th August. And they will be more proud of me when I reach my second goal of 110 lbs. 14 September. I have also committed to reach my ultimate goal of 97 lbs. on 31 October. Not only do I want to have my wedding day body back but also to become healthy and be a good model to my children. I will prove to my children and family members that old age is not a hindrance to a healthy life.

This is also my offering to God through the intercession of our Blessed Virgin Mary who is my heavenly inspiration to have a healthy life and take care of my body that God lend me to nurture here on earth. I know that having a healthy body can support a healthy mind to work better for God's beautiful purpose for me.

Together with my sparkfriends and my family, I sign this commitment

today, 21st July 2008.
